DROID BIONIC Jelly Bean Update

Getting close to that point. I figure another couple days before they ship it to VZW for their insanity testing. That process should last 2 weeks or so. Then a week, or more likely 2, before soak emails go out. Then another week or 2 until general rollout. Do the math.

They're talking about ghost over in the rumor threads. Kind of what you were saying, nexus 4 type moto phone. Some even claiming they've used it.

What do you all think of tmobile's new plans? I would so change over if they had Verizon coverage. I do like how consumers now have options when choosing their plans. It's not just cheaper versions of the same thing, rather actually something completely different.

I didn't care for their customer service. One of the features of the phone i got from them was email, so i set it up with gmail, only to have them deactivate that feature. It took them two months of calling support before they finally said it just doesn't work anymore, making some excuse about Google blocking them.

Granted, it was a really crappy email app using a ludicrously slow java interpreter. It still wasn't the phone i was sold, and that stuck with me. I switched to Verizon the day my contract was up, and I've been much happier with the phone and the network. And, I've not really had to deal with their crappy customer service, other than their idiotic Billing department. I just wish they were cheaper.

I also had a bad experience with T-Mobile. Some of the new plans look interesting but I won't go back to them.

Well, tomorrow's the first day of "Q2"!...and the waiting begins...

LOL. I can assure you it's going to be closer to the end of the first 3rd of Q2.

That sounds good!...better than "third 3rd"! ;-) Of course, we all know (from info you've posted before and experience with ICS wait-to-rollout, this (end of the first 3rd of Q2) depends on (what seems like hopeful signs of) a successful Mot test of build 23, and mostly that vzw doesn't blindly reject.

Fingers crossed.

Sam, how many of these builds actually made it to VZW?

Fortunately I was able to interpret these feelings correctly: loss of essence.

I'm not sure. If it fails Moto's internal testing it's not sent to VZW. I think it's been a while since a build passed Moto's testing. But I'm told this build, if it passes Moto's testing, will get pushed. So we'll see.

Assuming JB is very polished, I will likely be holding on to my Bionic for some time longer:

After the first one they sent came up wanting, it seems Hyperion sent me a "good egg" Saturday because in the last 24-hrs, my Bionic has undergone both moderate and heavy use (with the screen on the brightest setting), and still hasn't drained the 4,000mAh battery down completely. However, both the built-in and GSam battery indicators have had it showing 1% for close to 10-hours now. I fully expected needing to charge it this morning, but that may have to wait until after lunch! I need to find a way to tweak this for accuracy. Still, I'm excited about the possibilities of going long periods of time without needing a charge!

On that note, does anyone know how to calibrate battery indicators for accurate readings? Will the Bionic or the GSam Battery app do this on its own? Or do non-OEM batteries prohibit accurate readings?
