DROID BIONIC Jelly Bean Update

Assuming JB is very polished, I will likely be holding on to my Bionic for some time longer:

After the first one they sent came up wanting, it seems Hyperion sent me a "good egg" Saturday because in the last 24-hrs, my Bionic has undergone both moderate and heavy use (with the screen on the brightest setting), and still hasn't drained the 4,000mAh battery down completely. However, both the built-in and GSam battery indicators have had it showing 1% for close to 10-hours now. I fully expected needing to charge it this morning, but that may have to wait until after lunch! I need to find a way to tweak this for accuracy. Still, I'm excited about the possibilities of going long periods of time without needing a charge!

On that note, does anyone know how to calibrate battery indicators for accurate readings? Will the Bionic or the GSam Battery app do this on its own? Or do non-OEM batteries prohibit accurate readings?

Definitely not an update question (Oh so sorry), but with the shut down of Reader, what does anyone plan to switch to? What type of app is Reader? I believe that it is an RSS app. Is it considered a client or a reader or a something else? I am trying to figure out what to search for in the absence of specific recommendations.

Amazon.com. Hyperion will ship via USPS. Unfortunately, these batteries don't fall under Prime purchases.

Also, at 11:54am EST, my battery finally was depleted. That was a solid 26-hours of moderate-to-heavy use with the screen set to its brightest. Ran some power-intensive apps while I slept, too. Who knows how it'll perform after I break it in accordingly (Hyperion suggests an initial full charge of 12-hours, along with 4-5 full charges/discharges to reap maximum benefit)? I'm really liking it thus far, and Hyperion let me keep the first battery too. So now I possess 2 OEMs (the extended one has pretty much been worn down) and 2 Hyperion batteries! For a 1/3 of the price of a new OEM (but smaller 2,760mAh) extended, not bad at all!

Hope it serves you well. If you're unsatisfied for any reason, Hyperion will set it right. Caution should always be used with any 3rd Party manufacturer, but I feel with the warranty expired it's fine to really start trying customization with my Bionic.

Sam, do you know if .246 has created increased battery drain from other builds of ICS? I swear when I HoB'd my Bionic to .232 (thanks again for making that available to us!), it was much more thrifty with battery usage. Maybe it was just wear & tear on the battery; maybe something else...

The next question is "how do I fix it".....the answer is, factory reset.

It won't find the update, no. You can always download it manually and install it from the SDCARD. The stupid update service gets corrupt from time to time and the only way anyone's found to fix it is a factory reset. One of these days someone should find a way to reset just the update service.
