I don't disagree with your points at all. I was simply stating that there are a lot of designers out there, many of them working for large corporations like VZW, that will not use the best application for the job. I have seen designers take 2 hours to do something in Photoshop that they could have accomplished in 10 minutes with Illustrator simply because that was "what we use" or "I use Photoshop for everything." Unfortunately, it happens more often than you would care to imagine!

I hear ya, no hard feelings. It is what it is. It just better come out soon before we tear each other apart and then they have no customers.

Even if they used Paint Brush do you think that Verizon is gonna say to a designer that they need to produce this, but sorry you cannot have any resources to do the work They are gonna tell the designer "We need a image of the bionic on the artwork but we won't give you one, so just deal with it the best you can"?

Well, all I can say is that I have seen this, and worse, on stuff that is considered "finished." I have seen designers use low res web images for logos for printed material when vector eps files of the same logo were readily available. Before you try and point out that this is Verizon and they wouldn't allow such a thing, my example is by a designer in a fortune 500 company.

I have no idea if this shot is real or not, I am only saying that you can't necessarily infer that it is fake because of the quality of the work.

I completely disagree with everyone (not just on here.. even the "allmighty" Kellex said the same thing) saying "this looks like they cropped the D3 bottom! It's a slider!". Look at the leaked photos of the newest version of the Bionic (Targa). They all have a "lip" looking thing on them that make them look like a slider. That is actually consistent. More than anything it looks like someone put the Etna screen on the newer images of the Targa phone body.

I'm not referring simply to the fact that there's the "extension" below where the screen itself stops (the part where you typically see the Verizon logo). The most recent leaked pic of the Bionic (left below) looks like this lower part are the screen are much closer to being flush with each other than the pic in the page being discussed now. That image definitely looks like it has a raised screen area, consistent with a slider phone.

I love how you keep trying to say its fake. I gather you didn't read his haters thread. They (manufacturers/vzw/etc) make these pages using.....wait wait you guessed it......Photoshop. Depending on who they hire to make these pages alot of designers use photoshop.

I just don't see it. The image you posted looks nearly identical to me as the one on the page. It's at a slightly skewed angle, but other than that the bottom looks the same. We'll just have to agree to disagree I guess.

6 more people were injured and 10 hospitalized when violence broke out over a pentile screen. Witnesses said that a man named CK had been complaining for hours about some type of screen technology when gunshots suddenly began to ring out. In all seriousness the only thing that can be proven is that the job on this picture was poorly done.

Does it make it fake? No. If Phil was taken he would simply update the OP and move on. Its not a big deal. After careful consideration of everything surrounding this whole thing I think its legit and is just obviously poorly done. When it goes live the spit and polish will be there.

Time to move on I think.

I didn't realize the Droiddoes website is a flash site. Which kind of makes this more legit before my mini flipout. I though it's a static site like Verizon Wireless'. in which case I would just screen shot the site and use it in my work for a mock-up. Again, I hope to god it's not .52" in depth haha.

I agree. These are the original dimensions on the Etna taken from Phonearena: 4.96 x 2.63 x 0.52 , the Targa on the leaked page dimensions are 4.95 x 2.66 x .52. They are very close... I hope these are still some old dimension from the Etna and not the size of the Bionic. Like someone else said, that's thicker than my slideout keyboard OG Droid...

Yes, you are technically correct, OG Droid is thicker by .02" or .5mm

I'd say close enough to the same thickness for government work.
