Droid Incredible Shipping?

I want to tell you all that the end is worth the wait. I am an alumni who has returned because I am waiting for my brother's phone to come in. I am in pain for him. Folks, just 1 warning......... if you think you check this thread a ton wait until you start reading every app, trick, and battery thread.

My bro 6/2 over phone....... told him to call 611 now.

I ordered 6/2 over the phone, just spoke to 611 again (I have been calling every day) they said my ship date is still 6/25 and it is 2 day shipping. He said if I don't receive an email on 6/25 with the tracking number that I would have to call to get the number.

I called 611 this morning and the person I talked to said that they are sticking to their original schedule. Since mine was ordered on 6/3 with an estimated shipping date of 6/24 he said that they will ship it tomorrow. I originally ordered over the phone and the customer service rep said that it will ship overnight and "should" be here on Friday.

Surely this is because of all of the iPhones being delivered today. This same issue is being reported on MacRumours too in relation to iPhone deliveries.

Ship By Date: 6/17 (earlier than most other 5/31 orders)
Never received shipping email.
Arrived: 6/23 ~4pm

I waited by my door for a long time, then lost all hope of receiving it today. Walked outside and saw a FedEx truck pull into my driveway.

The box says I had 2 day shipping, so it apparently shipped on 6/21, when there were very few shipments going out.

Just got my shipping confirm from Verizon... Same problem with FedEx though, No info from them available. I ordered on 6/1, so they were a day late with their original ship date. At least it is on it's way. =)

Ha, a person on the VZW board called CSR this morning and they were told to not expect their phone until July, only to get an email confirmation of shipment a few hours later....Just another example of Verizon not knowing what the hell is going on...

today is my ship date, i ordered 6/2. it is 5 pm and verizon hasnt shipped it yet as i just got off the phone just now with the csr. i guess i wont have it for the weekend, 2 day shipping... ughh

Darn.. I kept waiting to order cause I wasn't due for an upgrade till September.. then I received a coupon for an extra $50 off and I was sold... hate waiting for stuff!!!

Will have to see how the Droid X does once it comes out.. since I will still be in my 30 day window with the Inc.

yeah i noticed that the day or two after my order (6/8) that ship dates abcked up a lot, mustve been a lot of orders

and agreed for the droid x stuff...i may look into it since its within 30

Actually they ship up until 8p I believe.. so you should still get it by Friday.

I would love to hear from you too. I'm a 6/5'r and am still holding out hope I'll receive my phone by Friday due to having overnight shipping! I hope the rumor of Verizon receiving a huge shipment today and tomorrow is true!

Mine was delivered this afternoon to my spouse's workplace. Now I am anxiously awaiting her arrival from work.

I ordered on June 10th... and I have a ship date of July 8th.. wonder why it's a week after yours and you only ordered 2 days before me Anyone else with a June 10th order date who received an earlier ship date than me?

Also.. kindof frustrated about the Droid X.. now I wonder if I should've waited for it...ugh...

They're really very different.. the Droid X is huge and ugly IMO. Plus it's Motoblur rather than Sense UI and from what I hear there's no comparison between the two (Sense being the better one)

Anyways if you always wait for the latest and greatest you'll never end up getting anything since a new phone is "on the way" like every couple weeks it seems.

What sucks is that my buddy is getting his iPhone 4 before I'll be getting my Incredible, and I ordered mine the day his phone was first announced as even officially existing. That's pretty sad haha.

Talked with one of supervisors few minutes ago and he told me about 23th Jun shipping to be rescheduled to 24th.
Ordered my DInc on 6/2.
He promised me to receive mine on 25th.

ive been calling every day.... just in case it ships early... since i was given the wrong info when i ordered in the store, i called the store to complain about being given a ship date of today (6/23) when if fact it is not going to ship until 7/12... its REALLY disappointing to think it was shipping today and have to wait 3 more weeks! the guy at the store said that some of them have been shipping early, depending on how many they get in... and that 7/12 is the absolute LATEST that it would ship, and that theres a good chance it may ship early, and that they will text me the tracking number when it becomes available... im still calling every day in case they forget to text me the tracking number... im just getting so antsy waiting!

All these 6/28 shipments got me thinking. I wonder what type of shipping Verizon is using?

In short, for 'Home Delivery', FedEx DOES NOT deliver on Monday (Tue-Sat only, with an extra fee for Sat delivery).

But, for next day and 2 day, it appears they do deliver on Monday.

However, I don't think I've seen anyone receive their phone on a Monday. I haven't kept track purposely, but if memory serves I don't recall anyone saying their phone was delivered on a Monday.

Standard overnight is Monday-Friday. Priority Overnight is Monday-Saturday. Little know fact, 2-day is also Monday-Saturday. Of course Saturday delivery cost extra, but I know that Verizon springs for it (as I deliver Verizon phones on Saturday quite often). If you paid for overnight shipping with a shipping date on a Friday, chances are that Verizon sprung for Priority/Saturday (although there is no guarantee). Hope this helps!
