Droid Incredible Shipping?

Ok just for the fun of it I called cs to see what story I would get today and to see if they found my order. Well they still had no order but the guy said that's not uncommon for store orders. He call the store where I ordered it from and they did find it and it's still waiting for shipment I asked if they had any info when that might be he said in the next week or so. I asked if I could get an email for tracking once it shipped and he said no since it was a store order but he could set it up for me to get text message. So the life and times of droid incredible continues! Still hoping on getting it maybe Friday but I know that's just a dream!

Shipped tomrrow and deliver Friday is what I've been told... I had a really ****ty weekend and although the excitement of the phone has helped, actually having the phone in hand would mean a lot...

I ordered 6/8 and Verizon told me today that my Incredible will ship Monday 6/28 (which was my estimated delivery date) and I'll get it Tuesday.

The excruciating wait is almost over!!!

Shipping date today (6.23)
Due 6.25 (I know, I should've sprung for the overnight....oh well).

Got the notice about an hour ago via email and 611 is telling me to activate my new phone.

I ordered on June 10th... and I have a ship date of July 8th.. wonder why it's a week after yours and you only ordered 2 days before me Anyone else with a June 10th order date who received an earlier ship date than me?

Also.. kindof frustrated about the Droid X.. now I wonder if I should've waited for it...ugh...

FedEx Delivery on Monday?

All these 6/28 shipments got me thinking. I wonder what type of shipping Verizon is using?

In short, for 'Home Delivery', FedEx DOES NOT deliver on Monday (Tue-Sat only, with an extra fee for Sat delivery).

But, for next day and 2 day, it appears they do deliver on Monday.

However, I don't think I've seen anyone receive their phone on a Monday. I haven't kept track purposely, but if memory serves I don't recall anyone saying their phone was delivered on a Monday.

It's easy to get caught up in the hype. It comes down to personal preference. The only true upgrade from the Incredible is the processor, 720p video, and probably the battery life. The rest comes down to Sense vs. Motoblur, pocket-ability vs. large screen, sleek form factor vs. rugged...which are all personal preference.

With that said, I'm still debating as well, considering I rarely use the phone part of my phone. The large display might be a plus instead of a minus.

If it ships out on a Friday as a Next Day it will deliver on Monday. In order for you to get a Friday shipment on Saturday you need to pay a lot more for shipping because not only is it a Next Day shipment but it is now a Next Day + Saturday as well.

I could be wrong but from a few years in the shipping field that is how it works.

I want to tell you all that the end is worth the wait. I am an alumni who has returned because I am waiting for my brother's phone to come in. I am in pain for him. Folks, just 1 warning......... if you think you check this thread a ton wait until you start reading every app, trick, and battery thread.

Just to add to the discussion

Ordered 6/2 and told ship date would be 6/23.
Called last week and told ship date still stands at 6/23.
Today is 6/23 and no word yet.

This is the first phone I've ever given a rip about instead of just grabbing whatever was available on the shelf for a free upgrade that could dial and text.

Very excited and I haven't left the forums it seems for 3 weeks now!

I think it was a few days after my order date when the Verizon site changed delivery dates back another week or so. It's unbelievable that we have to wait so long for a phone that HTC and Verizon knew darn well would be in high demand. They may lose a bunch of orders to the DroidX if this keeps up if the DroidX is better in stock at the Verizon stores...

Darn.. I kept waiting to order cause I wasn't due for an upgrade till September.. then I received a coupon for an extra $50 off and I was sold... hate waiting for stuff!!!

Will have to see how the Droid X does once it comes out.. since I will still be in my 30 day window with the Inc.
