Droid Incredible Shipping?

And here the woman on the phone with customer service told me I'd get mine sooner by ordering it through them than if I had ordered it in the store.

I hate how everyone talks out of their asses, LOL!

Ordered mine in store on the night of 5/10- do they give tracking numbers for in store orders? it seems like only people who ordered it online have tracking numbers

Vz should. I had to do that for the S1 in '08. I don't recall if I had to call CS for the number or if the information was available thru My Verizon.
 
Ordered mine in store on 5/10. No word yet. I think verizon is holding all the orders placed after the 9th until they have a good amount of them, which is BS.
 
Yesterday I emailed internetorders@verizonwireless.com asking when it would ship, and this is all they replied with:

Thank you for contacting Employee Accounts. The shipping timeline for the Incredible is for any orders where payment was taken on 5/8, 5/9, 5/10 & 5/11 will ship by 5/29. Once the order ships, you or the account owner will receive an email confirmation.

I guess they forwarded mine to employee accounts automatically, but I would imagine the answer would be the same for everyone. So basically they're just not telling us anything.

Ah thank you. I actually just called CS at the verizon store where I ordered it, and they said it hasn't been shipped yet, so no tracking number. They told me to call back in the next couple days, So I'll call back.
 
Ordered last night and went to cancel the order today as I don't really feel like waiting. Rep told me they would try to cancel. I asked when the order would ship out, she said not until the 31st. Looks like Verizon is completely empty on this phone for the time being.
 
Try ordering online, not in the store. I ordered online and it shipped out the next day for me.
 
I ordered mine in store on 5/7, was told it would be overnighted so received on 5/8, it didn't come. I was told it wouldn't ship until 5/21, and then the next day I was told it wouldn't ship until 5/29. I ended up getting the tracking information on Tuesday 5/11 and it arrived on 5/12. All of this after I contacted one of the executives in my area for being lied to... I had her credit my account the $100 rebate just so I don't have to worry about. (I broke my nexus so I needed a phone)

In store employees... lie... too much. It might be a Vegas thing, but I have only encountered 1 employee in my area who is good.. but, I would suggest ordering it online. It seems they ship faster than in store. Just an observation.
 
Ordered Saturday, May 8 in store; I received my shipping notice by email yesterday afternoon (5/12); delivery is expected tomorrow. In store rep did a great job, got me an early upgrade and had me out of the store in 15 minutes. Painless.

Hmmm. I'm 32798xxxx and haven not heard anything yet either. Ordered mine 5/10 afternoon.

I ordered mine on 5/11 mid day and my order number is 700000xxxx. I ordered online and have the standard message that my order has been processed and I should receive it in 2-3 business days. I have yet to receive an email with a tracking number.
 
I ordered mine online 5/10 in the evening - no shipping notification yet. I was hoping to get it this week, but it doesn't look like that will happen. The gadget fever is starting to get to me!
 
Still no change in my status as of this morning. :( I ordered 5/10 afternoon online. They sent me an email with my order number.

For the people who received theirs, was it shipped by UPS, US Mail, FedEx? Did you have to sign for it? The email says you have to sign for it, and of course I'll be at work. Which means I'll have to go through some rigmarole to get it. /sigh

If you're really paranoid about leaving it at your house, you can pick it up at Fedex if you live close enough. Mine closes at 7:20PM and as long as you have the tracking number, you can go there and get it after work.

Well, I had it shipped to my parents house instead of my place because I am paranoid about leaving it outside where I live. If necessary, I'll get it at the facility, yes, but that is what I want to avoid. Anyway, I left a note on the door for if/when it ever arrives ;)

Ordered at 1am on 5/11 online. Called Verizon and the lady on the phone kept insisting it will ship on the 29th after saying she contacted the internet sales team.

I actually called Verizon before I ordered too and another rep said it will probably ship much earlier.

I have a nagging suspicion they are just telling people the 29th to make us go away and wait.
 
i think the fedex guys are playing games with me. Turning into my neighborhood, one of the big trucks was in the neighborhood. I get home and enjoyed the nice weather and sat out on the pouch hoping soon i would be playing with my new incredible. well i never did see that big truck again, but then the smaller "home delivery" truck that has dropped off other verizon packages drove by! My heart jumped and went right past my house. On his way back out, he even slowed down at my street, and then he was off :(. Lets all stay strong together lol!

I ordered in the store and my order number is not nearly as long as the ones listed above. It is only 6 digits. First three are 122XXX.
 
The order number is store specific. Its only as good as the location code that starts with a D on your reciept ( used to be a tech at verizon). The order number and location code (store number) are used together to find an order. That's why you can't look up your store order online, etc. Online orders and phone orders have their own loc codes also.
