6/6 in colorado with nada...........this is frustrating

Actually just called my store just to see if they had any idea if they were going to have at least a couple Droid X's july 15.

This was his response, "I have no clue, they usually don't tell us until a day or two before the release date."

Awesome lol then again i didn't expect any different answer so i guess i'll have to wait until the 14th/15th to see if my store will even have any in stock.

OMG verizon just called me! It was in response to my survey that I took from one of the cs calls I made and i left a response of how poor verizon communications have been. And she was very nice and best of all she gave me a tracking number....yes it's true a tracking number! I wouldn't let her off the phone until I checked fedex.com and it's true shipped today from the Memphis location 2nd day air, yes I was told overnight but oh well it's on it's way!!! So here's another 6/5er that has been shipped!!!

just got off with CSR...told me the same as always, up to 7 day delay so they are still sticking to that story...so heres a beer to day 1 of a possible 7...at least itll be here before vacation

edit: but with seeing 6/5 and 6/7's shipping today...im gonna remain hopeful that itll ship this week...and if it gets delayed again, Droid X when i get back from vacation...very likely

im in the same boat as you are with the 6/8 although they insisted on 6/29 until yesterday when it didnt ship so im still pushing for 7/6 being the latest counting for 7 days...

6/6 !! I only got the $25 thing so far... HOPEFULLY i get the shipping notification and it'll arrive tomorrow or friday im in Tallahasse FLORIDA btw..

called 611 again...let them know my frustration with having ordered a month (6/9) ago and only getting $25 gift card for my delay. after sounding real sad, they put an additional $25 credit towards my next months bill. still awaiting shipping info, but $50 is taking the sting out of the waiting another 2-7 days (as per CSR on 611).

they must have given the $25 dollar thing so now their reps have some sort of direction to go, now they can just say "you will be receiving $25 in the mail", must have gotten sick of everyone getting various other credits, lol. I'm sure it wasn't to be nice to us.

I was a 6/5 online order it was about 6 pm for me i ordered/processed.

Got shipping notification today so it was a 2-4 day delay and supposedly the max is 7 so you should in theory get a shipping notification Friday at the latest. Given the "5-10 day delay most people are talking about ".

Lurker here. Wanna say thanks to everyone for all the updates and info. I ordered in store on 6/4, told 6/25, called 6/28 and told 5 days, blah blah blah...and was given all the same info as everyone else.

Received a text today about the $25 GC, and a 8 business day delay.

Fortunately after working at VZW for 3 years, I know the routes to go, and people to talk to, and basically said I need it today.

Called again today and received tracking, shipping from Ontario, CA to San Diego, CA.

Got it today.

6/4 order
6/25 Est ship
6/29 ship
6/30 delivery. San Diego, CA

so someone in an earlier post threw this link up about the screens on the Inc

I noticed at the end it said the new droid inc's that come with the new screen will be shipping with 2.2 and froyo which seems pretty cool because that should mean The 2.2 froyo update will soon be available for everyone with Inc's already and for the new Droid X.

To sum it up 2.2 should be sometime at the end of july to mid august which would be awesome!

After my last post I called vzw CS again this time remaining calm as always but more forcefull with my demands on wtf? After informing them that vzw has broken its agreement with me since it did not ship on the 6/29 as I was told and per the website. The CS mentioned the letter I quickly responded that was for 6/28 and prior is what that letter said .. silence, a long silence.
Get me your Supt. After that same ole song and dance we read in here before .I did get a month free but phone is still 7 day extesion (business ) which I said that really means means mid july ... silence...........I informed them that if I dont receive it then (or sooner) I would terminate all vzw services.Yeah I throwed in some BS at them but I did it in a calm but firm matter .Happy no ,mad no ,stressed Yes time for a chill Pill They forsure made sure the got their money from my account on 6/22 tho .

PS: I thought the 2.2 froyo update wouldnt be an OTA til much later in the year , altho they are suppose to be updating the new devices now if its available before they ever shipp

Hey guys. Been watching this thread since I ordered my DInc on 6/10. Finally figured Id join the club and join and call CS since my "will ship date" was today. Spoke to a nice younger girl and after a few umms and silence determined my new date to be 7/8....

Since im switching over from att and have to pay for another months of service to keep my number..yippee..I asked if there was some compensation she could do.. I got 10% off for the next 6 months. Not too bad I dont think.

Havent checked to see if I got the $25 dollar compensation email, but im sure that I will...

So now..back to the waiting game..... T minus 8 days


BTW..should I call back and ask about overnight shipping or are all online orders that way?

The rep I talked to last night said orders placed before 4PM get free overnight shipping automatically... not sure if that is just online or what.

I ordered on 6/7 in Washington, DC. Got shipping notification this afternoon. shipped from West Chester, PA at 4:21 PM with Standard Overnight Delivery!! Will be here before 3pm tomorrow!!! The wait is over! Good luck to all!
