DROID TURBO 5.1 Lollipop: Battery Life after Update?

I did a cache wipe last night then charged the phone completely and removed from charger at 11:30 pm and let it idle overnight. 10 hours later it was at 91% charge, That's only 0.9% per hour. That's more like it. Those 4 Android processes are still taking about 20% of the battery usage. Will continue to monitor it.

After 13 hours I'm down to 54% remaining. Screen on time was only 2 hr. 35 min. Phone calls took 32 min. Those 4 Android processes are taking a bit over 20% of battery. Not happy with this. Looks like factory reset is in my future.

Ok yesterday my turbo got only 16 hours on time before the battery got to 23% and thats with only 2 and a half hours screen on time....I just did a cacahe wipe of the phone. Im sttting to get annoyed at the crappy battery life. On kitkat Id go two days and sometimes 3 and with the same usage im getting only 1 day...

btw my cache wipe took maybe 7-10 minutes

Our experiences with battery life after Lollipop are very similar. And we are two of a handful of people on AC that thought the camera was very good. Coincidence? LOL. Who will be the first to do a factory reset?

I am a heavy user. Primarily emails, texts, Web all day long. Yesterday was the first day I tried to not charge the battery till I hit 30%. I lasted about 8 hours. I was in a couple of low 3G areas and sometime at home on Wifi. I have never been able to get more than this with my old Samsung SG3 with Seidio 3500 size battery or the Turbo with 3900. The big differences with battery life are I can carry a QC 2.0 external charger if I travel for the Turbo and fill the to top it off if under 50 % or an old 1.0 amp charger and wait forever.
When I tried my wife's LG3 I get about 6 hours. She gets 7 hours on hers. But just like the SG3 I mentioned we could swap out batteries.

Next thought. I have my old SG3 and an old DNA I know use either or both to play games or stream video or music and save Turbo for the rest.

Well I tell you what, unless I'm getting 3-4 days from doing a factory reset I won't be the first! My battery life today seems alot better. Too early to say back to the very good normal from before but it could be. 10 hours on battery with an 1 hr 45 m screen on time and I have about 73 percent. It's important to know I am in a yellow to red cell zone 90% ofbthe time...

Initially I only did a cache wipe after the upgrade, and something just seemed off. So I did the FDR a couple days ago.
Yesterday was a light usage day, but battery life seemed much more in line with where it used to be.

I did a factory reset yesterday because my battery life after the Lollipop update was awful. That made everything better for me. I'm shocked, but it is very noticeable. The past week I was down below 50% of battery by mid-afternoon and today I am around 75%. That convinces me it was worthwhile.

Battery life is outstanding for me, slightly better than kitkat. No factory reset just wiped cache. What an awesome battery . Heavy use all day gives leaves me with 50-60% when i plug in at bedtime. Love L.

I was one of the dummies that posted my battery life seemed a little better the next day after updating.....it is NOT better. I seem to be down 10- 15% from where I would normally be by the time I leave work. Not very scientific, but it is a noticeable difference. I'm having to use my car charger now so I don't run out before the day is over. Even on heavy usage days where I would watch HBO, or with heavy Internet surfing, my Turbo had no issues lasting until midnight. Battery usage actually now seems similar to when I would forget to switch the brightness back to auto. (I like to set the brightness higher to enjoy the beautiful screen while watching video) I know there is a setting that says the brightness is automatic, but now I wonder if it's really working..

My battery life after 5.1 was better than on KK. It is outstanding, however, after clearing the cache. It is simply phenomenal. This phone rocks!

Caved in and did the factory reset. Next day took the phone off the charger (100%) and went to work. Didn't use the phone much for 2 1/2 hours (one 3 min. phone call couple of glances at other stuff, screen on was only 7 minutes) and when I looked at the battery it was only down to 98%!

After I installed Lollipop and before I did anything else, 2 1/2 hours of inactivity would have set the battery down to 94-95%.

Have recharged to 100% and will see what happens in real world use.

I did a cache clear yesterday, then charged to 100%. After almost 16 hours (2:15 screen time) I am only down 30%. The cache clear is looking like a big help as well.
