Droid Turbo: Battery Life

Same here. With disabling bloat ware and using greenify I have gotten great battery life every day no matter how hardcore I use my turbo.

do you reboot your phone at times like for example before you go to sleep? This helps to kill off lingering apps and prevent them from using alot of battery

It's not the 48 hours they promised but it's not bad.

What is your screen on time? I dont see why everyone assumes that there are no factors going into the 48 hours? If your on your phone for 12 hours straight using an app like facebook you wont see the "promised 48 hours"

If I leave it off the battery will last forever.. But what is normal use?

Really that cant be answered unless you some how took an average of everyone in the worlds phone usage. That would be an average "normal" usage.

For comparison my droid x and my Gnex could last only 16 hours (from the time I woke up till the time I went to bed) and I'd have to charge them every night. That was with about 3 hours of screen on time in that 16 hour period. I feel like everyone is complaining about not getting the "promised 48 hours". Read motorola's website. No here does it say any promises. It implies that with a typical use (as in not being glued to your phone every second) the phone can last up to 48 hours on a single charge. Personally I have found that to be a very good average usage. Some days I get way more and some way less depending on my usage for that charge-discharge period.

So I resisted the urge to put it on the charger at 35% after dinner. It lasted several more hours. I never thought it would be possible.

The phone was held awake by something for almost an hour longer on the second one. That's the difference

Nope. This was one of the 'good' Turbo charges. My held awake time is similar amongst all the charges. Doesn't explain discharging differences between a Turbo and regular charge.

Google settings -does turning off location reporting and location history under Google location reporting disable the ability to find if lost?

Didn't change anything. Only got 17hours today. But I did get the update this afternoon.

The time all dependers on many factors, some days I only get 24 hours, some days I get 3 days. For example if day one when you only got 17 hours, maybe you talked on the phone for 8 hours that day. Then day two you only talked on the phone for 2 hours. That allows for an increase in other usage (either standby time, screen on time etc). Unless you are the exact same each day you will have varying on battery times

Uninstallled my task killer and battery Booster app got the best out of my battery yet.

All those apps always tend to do more harm than good. They may stop other things from draining the battery, but in turn they are draining battery to do so. Considering how easy it is to disable things on a Droid, no real need to have these 'killers' IMO, outside of using them as task schedulers (turn X off when..., turn Z on if..., etc.).

Could have pushed it to 10 hours, but bed was calling my name.
