Droid Turbo: Battery Life

This is insane. I couldn't get this if I didn't touch the phone and it was sitting next to verizon tower.
I was getting about a day and a half of moderate use... but I was out of the country for about 10 days and since I got back the battery isn't lasting like it did before?? coincidence or could something have happened???

Not sure this will help but power cycle and clear the cache. Also look at the mobile network type. Settings/more/mobile networks/preferred network type/set it to lte-cdma. If you were out of the country the network type should be set at global, but back home it should be lte-cdma.
At long last, the numbers I've been trying to get for two months with this phone!
Sunday night I plugged the phone in to charge up for Monday. I used the turbo charger for the full charge (single-digit percentage that I can't remember, right up to 100%). Monday morning I used the phone a little over breakfast and then plugged it back into the turbo charger to top it off to 100% for the day.
I knew the day was going to go well when I saw that the change per hour value in GSAM was less than 2.0%. It's never that low, so that could only spell good things. At bedtime on Monday night I was still in the 60% range, so I decided to NOT charge and let the thing go all night and see what we can get out of it.
I lasted until this afternoon, when I plugged back in when I got to 10% left. What's the difference between this day and any other? Only the turbo charger. I read elsewhere on this thread the theory that the using the turbo charger seems to make the charge last longer. I can't imagine why that'd be true, but hey, I'll try any reasonable theory, hence this experiment. Well I'm prepared to support the theory, because I've NEVER had the phone going strong, uncharged, beyond 24 hours. I'm a believer!

I don't know man. I've been using the turbo charger when I need a quick charge but not often and my battery has been kicking ***.

Well, I can't say the TC is the ONLY way to battery bliss. ;-) Your numbers look even better than the "normal" good ones I see around here, so some even bigger difference must be happening between our setups. The amount of difference in the percentage of power used by apps is huge, as is OST (which is something especially sad about my numbers). Definitely some big usage differences.
I've been through a few setups now and am currently running with everything on. Location, all the Moto stuff etc. That being said I was on wifi most of the time and always had descent coverage.
Sorry, major typo on my part above. I meant to say that the turbo charger is NOT the only way to battery bliss. Gonna go up and edit that right now.

I have an updated data for my long term test. Also I have some personal suggestions, I believe that the 3rd party battery monitors use a % of your battery and if you want to squeeze as much as possible out Id recommend the stock one, it works just fine for me. Also I wouldnt recommend letting your battery go down to 5% on a regular basis. Its not good for Li Ions. Id recommend going town to 25, 27, 30 around there. Then around 5-7% once a month for a calibration, not battery calibration but the meter built into the phones needs to be calibrated.

I haven't read all the posts here, so forgive me. But I too have noticed a difference when using the TC vs. a regular charger (the one from my Razr Maxx, specifically). The turbo charges definitely seem to last longer. Talking a few hours at most, but still noticeable. Not sure if the battery is just calibrated better for turbo charges or what, but it is definitely interesting.
Still averaging 30 hours + per charge, typically with ~2.5% leak per hour and 6 hours SOT. GPS always on, auto screen brightness, mainly app use, very little phone use. Will post a screen shot of this charge later.

The way I see it, theres no way TC are bad for the phone, all it is is a higher voltage, just like laptops. The bigger laptops usually charge at a higher voltage, which is why you need specific chargers to specific laptops. I see no reason to use a normal charger. DTurbo main board was desiged to handle higher voltage. On another forum someone was saying how they think its bad, I dont see how it could be. Ive never used anything but the stock TC
I had everything turned on for mine EXCEPT Location Reporting (location was set to High Accuracy though). I also did (and don't) use the Approach setting for Moto display. I find it comes on just fine when I even budge the phone - I don't need the sensors watching for me a split second sooner than that. ;-)
Today is already different. At 17 hours I'm at 43%, so I won't quite get the same numbers this time - maybe. BUT I think that's because I turned Location reporting back on to see what kind of a difference it would make. On certain versions of Google Maps in the past with my DNA, Location Reporting was a tremendous battery thief. We'll see what my final numbers are today to see how much of a difference it still makes.
Another difference is that the charge I put on the battery was only long enough to get it to 100%, then it was immediately pulled. The previous charge was overnight while I slept. I know the phone shuts down charging when it's full, but it does turn that back on when it drops again, so I'm sure it went on and off and on and off several times between when it first got to 100 and when I awoke the next morning.
I think a lot of this DOES come down to phone and data signal strength. Seems like even the most subtle of differences might still effect battery performance. I'm on Wifi (on an awesome, and strong, Linksys router) at home, and 4G when at work. My 4G signal at the office is strong - 4 or 5 bars at all times. At home it is weaker - 1, sometimes 2 bars.
I generally agree, but dang that phone can get warm. During the first roughly 90% of charge on the TC yesterday my Turbo got VERY warm. After 90 it cooled down .. and the rate of charge slowed as well. I think heat might be leading some people to thinking that the TC isn't a Good Thing.
yea I agree with that, when mine charges I put it on the cool window sill or at least have it leaned on its side, that keeps it much cooler, but Ive read motorolla has temperature sensors in it to protect it either way, but heat is still bad for batteries so I would suggest keeping it on its side. It stays alot cooler. Plus I have mine in a life proof which doesnt help dissipate heat lol
Also I too dont charge my phone overnight, when it gts to 25% I plug it in and unplug when it sounds the 100% notification. Then I record the stats to my excel sheet and restart it to kill any draggin apps
