firedude, you're not alone. I shared a similar experience in post #58, except they at least gave you a demo unit to fiddle with.
For some reason Verizon has been pretty stuck up and rude about the whole demos. Personally I think its horrible business for them not to have demos out.

Not "Demo", Dummy. But it did give a good idea of size and weight which is a big concern for many, so it wasn't a complete wasted trip.
Yeah man I can totally understand why you are upset about your visit to your local Verizon store. That's not cool at all and I have actually had situations like that myself. If they expect people to make a commitment to a phone for atleast one year (most of us for two years) we have every right to look at the phone and play with it BEFORE release date when we purchase it. It's not going to kill them to let someone take a peak at a demo device. This just aggravates me badly.

I agree, whenever I've gone into the store to try and see a demo unit the reps gets all hot and bothered. Not cool.
I really wish this thread wasn't a sticky, because it MAKES me remember that I have to wait that long. Then again, I can't forget about it.
I'm just glad that I'm not the only one who is ridiculously excited about this phone. Also, to the Blackberry battery pullers, even on my 9650 I have the same problem, so I can't wait until the day it's not going to be a problem
AMEN!!!!!!battery pulls...... isn't it sad that us Blackberry users have resolved to thinking that pulling the battery is a "normal" thing to do on a smart phone? I am looking forward to not ever having to open the battery door any on another smartphone!
Don't get me started about the crap RIM has been passing as phones for the past couple of years. My 4 Tours and 2 Bolds gave me nothing but problems.
Can't wait for the X!!
