Leaving a store with my hands full after a rain. There was still a channel of water running down the parking lot just behind my vehicle. Lot my grip while unloading stuff in the trunk, it bounced once off trunk and landed right in the channel of water, while on (could see screen lit up in water). It was inside a speck candyshell grip case at the time.
Snatched it out dried off as best I could on shirt then shut it down. Dried off more with napkins inside a nearby restaurant. Gave it about 15 min, powered back up. Seemed fine. Been a week and a half now, zero issues.
I know the phone is not rated for water immersion like the s5. But I have seen online tests where it holds up pretty well for even minutes underwater. Either lucky or water resistant happy it survived unscathed.
