Epic 4G touch went back to 4.0.4 after the FL24 update.

My wife has the Epic 4G touch (sprint) and it was updated to 4.1.1 a while ago, yesterday when she did the FL24 update the phone had a real problem. It kept crashing-reboot-crash-reboot and got very hot. When it finally settled down she noticed that it was back on Android version 4.0.1. Has anyone else noticed this? Was this supposed to happen? If not can she get the 4.1.1 back by doing another firmware update?

You are mistaken. Unless you did something specifically custom to the phone, all ICS updates from Sprint so far, have been 4.0.4. FL24 is no different. If you got FL24 OTA and did the update you are on 4.0.4 just like you would have been before the update.

Well I had just got my SIII and we were comparing all the numbers, she was one digit off from mine. She was 4.1.1 and I am 4.1.2 so Im not sure whats going on.

cyberdman is correct. Unless you are in Korea you are still on 4.0 ICS. You can expect the update to 4.1 in the coming months as Canada is set to receive it now.
Compareing one phone model to a different model is bad carma, jk.

OK now my phone is now 4.1.1, I know without a doubt that it was 4.1.2 when I bought it.
