Epic Versus Evo

Currently I have the EVO and love it! Bbut my wife's contract is up in October and I will be added her to my account with Sprint. I plan on getting the Epic and giving her my EVO.

Big display, fast processor, fast connection, AND a real keyboard! Could it get any better? OK, FREE would be better.

I am happy enough with the evo, an do I don't desire keyboard, but my wife or son would win coming from their hero :-). So consider me entered.

Which has better battery life on 4G? Epic or EVo

Which has better battery life on 4G? Epic or EVo ?

so what's the verdict ?

I've seen a couple of reports that the Epic battery life is worse than the EVO. But I'm taking that with a grain of salt... Sometimes the battery needs to run through a couple of cycles before battery life can be established.... (I'm just hoping!)

Verizon wants me to pay a ETF to get off my parents plan and start a new plan that would raise my monthly bill by $140 so if I have to pay to cancel I am going to actually cancel and move to Sprint....an Epic 4G would be well......Epic

I have the evo but this epic looks pretty sweet (minus the iphone look of touchwiz). My gf wants a new phone so i'm pushing her to try it so I can compare lol

We won't really know for a little bit. If I buy my girlfriend an EPIC I will compare it because my College is in a 4G area, but until people have hands on with both we won't know.

LiIon and other lithiums batteries generally need any cycles, better battery life after a couple of days or a week derives from an observational bias since the first few days you play with everything.
That said I have seen no such reports. Please indicate where? My guess would be that talk and standby would be near identical on evo and epic with both having 1500 mah batteries, and the epic having better real world usable battery life for smartphone function due to better power efficiency in both epic's processor and amoled screen.
4g itself pulls serious ma, on par with GPS or wifi which are functions you use intermittently or plugged in, , and neither phone has an adequate battery to get you through a day with 4g on.

For those of us that have been with sprint for over 11 years...
It is soo nice to see Sprint get some much needed high end phones.
Plus the cust service has improved ten fold.. i love when people say "they have bad signal/reception" that might have ben 5 years ago. I have gone to alot of places and never once had signal isues.

So somone comming from another carrier.... If you are on the fence.. don't be... Sprint service is very good..

I think both Epic and Evo are great phones. For sprint users it gives us a choice.. keyboard or no keyboard..
With these two phones plus the droid phones from big red... I-phone is going to be seeing a decline.. Same with BlackBerry sales.. I came from a BlackBerry.. never looking back!

I have the evo and I love it. But I miss having a slide-out keyboard so the epic would be a nice change but the smaller screen might not be worth it. =( The madness!

the evo is the better adversary with its large screen and good display with that kickstand its like a mini movie but the Samsung Captivate has the keyboard and it feels sleeker(went to best buy got a hold of one cousin works there) the evo barely tops it in my opinion

I would say I would go Epic over the EVO for the screen, processor and qwerty keyboard. I am currently carrying a BB Tour and think having a hard kb to fall back to in case I am not proficient with the touchwiz kb is a definite plus!

I wish the EVO had a qwerty keyboard some times but for over all style the EVO is still more appalling with HTC Sense and all but I'd be welling to give the Epic a try if only I could get my hands on one. I sure it'd only take a few moments to "win" me over. Wink wink... X^)
