Where do you go to get the manual update?

Just go to settings>system updates>firmware update

I believe it's coming as an "HTC Software Update", not a "Firmware update". I think you're checking the wrong thing. That said, I don't show any update available under the HTC software update, so I can't verify.

my guess is multiply that by 2 and you have the number that's trying to update today.

Dang EVO, keeps faking me out now and then by taking forever to check for the update.

In the end it's the same message "Your phone is up to date"

I know right.... I just checked mine and it told me I needed to be on WiFi to preform this action.... So I switched over to WiFi and it says "My phone is up to date"

Guys, I doubt it's coming today. Makes no sense. First, the press release says Tuesday, not today. There happens to be a document online that shows today but it doesn't say the time either. Second, why on earth would they do a major update on a Friday afternoon? Who is going to be there to help users/make software fixes when the ineveitable problems occur?

Update manually to froyo on 8/1

Sprint commented on a post on their Facebook page stating that froyo will be available for download on the first of August.

Lonnie Ward Did yall catch this post? Froyo should be popping up for us to manually download anytime now.
