Yeah after debating for hours I finally made the leap.... Every thing works just fine...


For those who are having Flash/browser crashes... a few people last night said they went to the bootloader menu and cleared out user settings and that fixed any camera or flash browser issues... It DOES erase all your apps and you will have to reinstall and you will have to reenter your facebook, twitter, gmail, contact information as well...

I didn't have the problems with flash... It works great for me, same with the camera App.... Good luck guys...

Just installed last night around 10pm.... Phone was on the charger all night.. Took it off at 8:30 this morning so it will be interesting to see how the battery holds up today... I can say that so far after 1/2 an hour off the charger it has only dropped 4% so far. But then again I never really had big major drops in battery life when I would take it off after an all night charge.

is everyone going back now and moving their apps to SD instead of device?

If so, is the intent to speed up the mem usage on the device?
If so, would side affects be slowness of the apps on the card? Cuz I noticed the card isnt the fastest when loading most the time so curious on this

my phone died in 5 hrs of standby last night. Not too happpy about that.

Speech to text was updated too. (if anyone other then me uses it)
You now have settings for how it filters bad language. Before it blocked everything vulgar. now you can set it to filter lower, or shut it off.

Also you cant move all installed apps to SD. I could only move like 4 apps

i want a step by step after we get to the Bootloader screen

all i did for install ( i was on revoked 3) was follow the steps on android police

Dl'd the installer and named update to root of SD card.
Rebooted to recovery (power off,then hold in vol down and power till you get to boot screen)
selected recovery
select install from SD
browse for file
hit power once you found the file to start install


.. . . . . be patient. . . took about 5-10 mins

For everyone trying to flash the new froyo, rename it to update not update.zip, if you rename it to update.zip before you put it on your sd from your computer it will add an extra .zip, thats why your getting the error.

Change the file name to just update.... Leave the .zip off.... if you put .zip it ends up being update.zip.zip... Try that and see if it works...

From Bootloader click on recovery... You will get a screen with a red triangle and ! mark. Push the Volume up and Power button and it will bring up another screen. Click on "update.zip" and it should do the rest on it's own.

I tried but didn't says signature failed anywhere I can download a different update file and retry

This is the file some one else uploaded yesterday after HTC pulled it... It's the file I am using/running.... Try it...
