evo sales are crushing the sprint system

Anyone knows what is "NGP mandatory field required "?
RS is stuck with this pop up and can't continue.

just got back, having issues with trying to confirm order from RS. I rather not go back. Could I call them and have them talk to sprint? It's raining here and my car broke down once already trying to get to the damn store.

haha, you should straighten priorities? car before gadget? :D
 
this sucks! Been waiting over an hourfor the computer to respond and process my phone. Not the shack's fault...
 
they started helping me at around 8 in the morning at the shack. i got out of there at 1130. not the shack's fault -- those guys were great. the sprint snap system kick em out about 90% through my order and then wouldn't let them back in. i had to call a manager who called a supervisor who called me back which finally got it working. this while a shack rep tried to call sprint customer care which transferred them 3x to a person that still couldn't help. luckily that supervisor saved my day. phew.
 
I'm pre-ordered, so I'll try back there after lunch... I just hope they don't sell my phone in the meantime.

Called my RS 3 times today already to make sure that they do NOT sell my EVO to someone else. I am preordered.
 
It took me about an hour at the Sprint store (after my name was called) to get my phone. Apparently the system kept locking up every time the sales woman tried to enter in the 4G service (or the hotspot option). She finally had to call it in to tech support and have them do it. She was great though. I just don't think the Sprint servers were prepared for this kind of a rush. By the time I left there were 40 people in the store (and it's a small store!).

Good idea . . . I'm on the phone right now, in fact!

UPDATE: They say as long as I make it in today they'll have my phone, but if I don't come in they have to put it back out into the wild tomorrow. Gee, I wonder if I'll make it. . . .

I got mine done right before it started crashing, they werent getting hold music. went into a corp Sprint right after and they couldnt even get a ring.
 
I got in at 7:50sprint store and was out at 8:40...in the 10minutes that I was there the system started bogging down and they were having issues...its because of all the stores pumping out those orders..

good day to be a ceo at sprint.
 
I was in line at 5:30, and they opened the doors at 7:45. I was out within a half hour. Glad I went so early now. :-) Loving the EVO.

Finally got through after 3hrs waiting at RS. Got to be real patient today and be prepare to wait. The number porting from tmobile went through after another hour. Charging it now.

When I initially turned on the phone, it ask to dl firmware, which I cancelled. Now it doesn't prompt and do system update says no new updates? Strange.

That was the update with the SD Card fix brah, you're doing it wrong.
 
I got mine from Sprint Corp Store. Guy said one before me took an hour to get through system. Mine took about 25 min total. Was faster than guy next to me... he started 20 min before me and was still waiting when I was leaving.
 
I just got done. I went to the RS in Oshkosh, WI and waited from 9:30 until 12:15. Coming from a Pre.....it was well worth the wait.

Hopefully I'll get a few months, or at least one, of free service.
 
Posted this in the "I got my EVO" thread...

Sprint activation is bogged down! It took awhile for the Sprint rep to work with the individuals at Best Buy to get the phones activated...
