I got it to work tonight. great deal seeing the extend battery is more power 1880 over the seido 1750 for 50.00.

I'm not seeing a whole heck of a difference in battery life yet but I just got it yesterday and haven't run it down to low levels and then recharged. But I could definitely feel the difference in weight.....that 3500 Sedio has got to be pretty big and heavy. Don't know if I'd care for that much. You don't appreciate the lightness of the X until you mess around with the heavier batteries.
I went ahead and ordered one, if I dont see a difference, I can just send it back. I know it is not going to be double or anything, but I expect to notice a difference. Any extra power is a welcome thing with the droid X.
I probably will decide on the seidio one when it releases and how much they are asking for it. I dont mind a thicker phone when I am going to be away from a power source for a time.

I've been using the extended battery for a few days now and all I have to say is that THIS is the battery that should have come stock with the phone. Since 6:30 AM I have been texting all morning (about 40 - 50 messages so far) along with listening to music for a good 45 minutes straight on the car ride to work on loud, checking emails on two Exchange accounts, and using Google IM. It's now 11:00AM and with the original battery I would be down to about half or maybe only have 25% left on charge. With the new extended battery I've only used 25% of the charge. This is with WiFi and GPS off.
I ordered the Extended Battery last night using the BAT30 code. It took an additional 30% off my normal 25% corporate discount..$26.24 + tax....SWEET!
I just did the same! Wasn't going to go for the extended battery, but for $26+tax I couldn't pass it up. Good to have a spare anyway.

For anyone who was asking, I can confirm it doesn't make a lick of difference with the car dock. Got the car dock yesterday and the extended battery today at lunch, popped it in, and it docks no differently than it did with the regular battery. I don't use a case, and I have the insert that came with the dock in place.
As for the battery itself, no word on life, but I'm getting used to the feel of it. The little hump is barely noticeable, but it does break the 'smooth' feeling across the whole back. Phone also feels slightly, but noticeably, heavier (especially in a shirt pocket). I'm going to keep it in a few days to evaluate and see how I feel about it.
Altogether, even if I ultimately decided to go back to the thin battery for day to day use, I'll be keeping the big one around for longer trips and whatnot. Barely even a question for the price - used the 30% off coupon, great deal.

Droid x extended battery
Just got my extended battery what is the word on these. Does it make that much of a difference and what's the method for charging it first time? Do I charge it all the way first or use it til it dies any thoughts?
