Extended Battery now available

I would post a good comparison if VZW would ship my Droid X to me. I have the multimedia dock, car dock, extended battery, and 32GB card coming.

My phone has been off the charger for about 9 hours.

I have been using it for about 8 hours while at work. Screen is at 25% brightness. It was used pretty much for 20-30 minutes every hour for web surfing, played two Jewels games (about 20mins total), light texting, and downloaded a couple of apps.

My battery sits at 50%. This is at least 20% better than I got with the stock battery. And it has been at 50% for about the past two hours.

I would say the extended battery can give up to 20% - 30% better battery life. It all depends on how you use your phone.

Definitely worth it.

can anyone post if it fits with the shell/holster combo?

Yes, it fits with the Verizon shell/holster combo. However, due the small increase in the batter cover size, it makes the phone sit just a tiny bit askew in the shell. And also, it fits just a bit harder when inserting/removing from the holster.

I have since decided to run my X with NO batter cover at all. The extended battery actually fits just flush with the sides of the phone. If you use the stock battery cover, it is pretty tight, if you use the extended battery cover, the fit becomes a bit of an issue. If you use no battery cover, and just use the Verizon shell, then the fit is perfect.

It now occurs to me that when Seidio finally releases their Inocase Cases, you will be able to do the same thing. That is, you will be able to run the extended battery, without any battery cover, and the have the Seidio Case over it to retain the battery and provide protection.

My goodness, the extended battery cover doesn't ruin the look of the phone at all. I can't even notice the difference to be honest with you. Good job Motorola on this battery. It lasts for days now.

Mine came in at 90% today.

BTW, the glossy silicone case does bow out (around the middle), contrary to what I was reading. It does fit but not snugly....will determine later if I'll go caseless. I'm not crazy about using the standard door with this battery.

Ordered yesterday at 4:34 p.m. and got it today at 1 p.m. That's service. Tried BAT30 and it didn't work so I paid $50...But, you know why it didn't work? Cause the code is BTA30.

I'm going battery topless with the verizon silicone cover on it. I'f I'm going somewhere where I need the cover, I'll put on the extended cover.

Got it with a 70% charge.

My battery was delivered at 10:52 this morning. Just got it in a few minutes ago, and got it fully charged. It's at 100%, and I'm going to let it run down all the way, so my Battery Left widget can get calibrated.

Received the battery with a 90% charge. Verizon black silicone case fits perfectly with the new battery cover. The battery gives the X a nice heft. It feels even more solid than before.

Just ran mine down to 15% or a little lower. Usage results, just under 15 hours, screen 63%, phone calls 30%, idle 6%, sleeping 1%. I'll take that.

I have a couple of questions..

1. Does it work with the car dock and multimedia dock, will it fit in those with this extended battery?

2. The standard battery is 1540 Mah in size, the extended is 1840 Mah, will 300 extra Mah's make that much difference? Sedio will be coming out with a 3500 Mah shortly, and will probalby be in the same price range. The only reason the verizon extended battery would make sense is if it will work with the car dock and multimedia docks.

^Same here, ordered it last night as well. I hope Amzer comes out with a dock/charger combo like they did for the original Droid. It was nice to be able to charge the Droid and battery at the same time.

who is amer? I returned the orginal moto dock as it was a pain to get the phone on and off the dock and I started thinking that a 3rd party dock with a battery slot would be a better deal. Anybody tell me if you can pop in the original battery with the extended cover with out an issue of slop?
