yup, I ordered a brand new oem HTC touch pro 2 battery on ebay for $18 shipped. also ordered a Seidio charger that charges just the battery and the phone at the same time. as you said, no since in having the phone if youre gonna nueter it by shutting everything down

nope. I have a backup battery charger that has an internal battery, so I probably will use that.
i noticed yesterday that the tp2 battery was exactly the same. My previous phone was a tp2, so im in luck and have a spare battery now.
I'm getting another stock red battery, should get me through half the day, lol. Came from the Pre so I am used to swapping the battery. Can usually get through the day with stock battery but when I travel I would like to have a spare.
lol does the color seriously matter to you? go on ebay and order a tp2 battery, its black but its the same battery. cant beat $18 for a new oem battery

nah. got a car charger and 2 extra wall chargers (home/office/travel bag). i don't want to lug an extra battery around and i don't want to take the back off again.
thats the only negative I see with an extra battery, gonna be a pain taking the Seidio case off each time to switch out the batteries
i just need to last ~8 hours. i'm in car/office/home/hotel room etc. enough to be able to charge.
I don't have data, but I do know experientially that my Treo Pro's OEM size extended battery from Seidio (1650 mAh) consistently seemed worse than Palm's stock 1500 mAh battery. It took me a while to accept that this was true because numbers aren't supposed to lie.
you can use the hero battery. You can get 2 of them plus a charger for $12.00. Yes I said twelve dollars !!

I ordered a second battery when I ordered the phone. When the 3500mah battery comes out for the Evo, I'm going to get that and probably put the other two into my junk drawer.
I have 2 Touch Pro 2 batteries, and the Seidio 1750 battery, and I use all 4 of them throughout the day :/
I wouldn't That doesn't look like a trustworthy product to me, not to mention the output voltages are wrong.

Seriously though, I'm concerned about weekends when I'm out and about and don't have access to a power outlet. I wouldn't be swapping batteries on a daily basis, so "lugging" an extra battery around wouldn't be a big deal.
I'd just throw it in my pocket when I think there will be a good chance I wouldn't be able to charge for 8+ hours.
Right, if the lithium is the same size, it should be around the same capacity ... you really think aftermarket has 20% better technology?
