Extended Battery Options

Extended battery

I was wondering if anyone got an extended battery for the evo? What are everyone's opinion on the seidio 1750 battery or the mugen 1800 battery. Is the mugen battery compatible?

II am thinking about getting the extended battery. I hope it improves the life of this thing. It's the only gripe I have.

FYI: Touch Pro 2 battery works for Evo

Dunno if this has been brought up before, but I just wanted to mention that the TP2 battery has the exact same specs as the Evo battery and works just fine and dandy. Figured it out after a night at the bar when my phone died and I had my old TP2 in the glove box.

So even if you don't have a TP2, the batteries are much cheaper than a new Evo batt.

Cheers!

Hey, there is a BIG difference between those batteries. The Evo one is Red. How could not not notice that? Why would you want to put in a $15 black battery that has the same specs as a $30+ red one? LOL. I let my Son have my TP2, he likes it because the TP2 runs out of juice before mine. So when we are in the car, I can put his battery in my Evo and charge it for him. I am still undecided if I should get a slightly larger battery for the Evo though. One that can fit in without having to have a special back to it.

I had a 2600mAh seido extended battery for my Palm pre and it was the best purchase I made for that phone. I'll be all over this one IF the back cover they provide for it is decent.

yeh this has already been posted
but the battery is not "slim"
extends phone by 4mm and will require special back door

If it doesn't fit in the existing back I'm not getting it. Technology in batteries really needs to catch up with how fast phones are changing.

this is quoted from the battery description "This model fits in your device's existing battery space and doesn't require a replacement door, which makes it a perfect replacement for your original battery"

Where are you reading that?

It says this on their site about the 3500mAh battery:

- Comes with a black replacement door featuring Seidio's signature soft touch coating
- Adds only 3-4mm to your device

That woudlbe the Innocell 1750mAh Slim Extended Life Battery not the 3500mAh one.

You're most likely reading the description for the 1750mAH, while the OP is talking about the 3500mAH. The 3500 does indeed add extra width, and it says so in the description.

Seidio has two extended batteries. There's a 1750 mah slim battery that fits without a replacement door, and the 3500 that is much thicker and requires a door.
