I really thought this would have been merged into the thread Gunner linked. Guess I'm 0 for 1 in my new game. Not the way to start out![]()
im sure the maidorator is just taking a nap.
yo guys, I sent one of the moderators a message asking him to merge the threads. Sorry again.
No worries. You'll get the hang of it in no time. Check back one page to post #172 by Gunnermike53 and click the link in that post. I guess that would have to be the latest news on the official Froyo release for the Fascinate. Besides you helped me develop a new game with which to entertain myself
EDIT - Hey and look at that. Because of this I just gave you your first "Thanks"
Thanks, and thanks for the thanks. I just really hate being that guy...
EDIT: I read that post on XDA. It's comical. Maybe by the end of the year they can work it out...
So....
IF/WHEN VZW releases a Froyo OTA... do you all plan on flashing back to stock in order to use the official update? Or is there really no point with all the rooted modifications done to the phone?
Just curious as to what most of you all think... i'm still fairly new at the all of this, so would just like to get opinions as to what to do IF the update ever makes it to us OTA.
Thanks guys!
I use my phone for business and can't afford to have any issues with it. How stable, buggy, and secure are the superclean and other roms? My phone HAS to work and i dont have time to update every couple of days. Any suggestions? Or should I just continue to wait for the official 2.2 ?

Not speaking for anyone else, but I don't see a point to going back to stock if they ever do an OTA update. I would just root, debloat and change everything all over again. The SC builds are great IMHO and going to stock might just be a step backwards. It definately would be more work for me than worth....

To be honest, when and if Verizon releases froyo....I'm not sure I will even upgrade. My phone is fine and does exactly what I need it to do.
Hey pizzadude, did you see that a Hawks fan just hit the "thanks" button for a Flyers fan? My hand was shaking the whole time because of the internal conflict
Superclean 2.9 is the most stable ROM I have had so far. I've been doing my best Gunnermike53 impersonations and flashing the hell out of this ROM with different themes, patches, and goofy combinations testing out different things to find solutions to a few pesky problems that had bothered me in the past, and I have not had one force close, random reboot, lockup, or any other kind of problem with 2.9.
And I agree with everyone, there will be no need to upgrade to the official Froyo release because what we have now is probably already superior to whatever VZW will put out. And if you think this is good, just wait until you see how good the custom ROMs are going to be once the indie devs get their hands on the original source code. I have just two words to say - UNDERVOLTED KERNELS![]()
just wait until kaos gets a fully stable gingerbread. i cant wait to see what adrynalyne will do with that. it wont b long either.
