Fedex stole my fold 4 return

I just noticed this in my news feed... Best Buy is offering the same trade-in values in-store as Samsung. So you can walk in with your trade-in and out with your new phone. I wonder why they're doing this now? LoL. Here's the link with the details: https://www.droid-life.com/2022/09/02/best-buy-fold4-flip4-best-deal/amp/
That's a better deal than what I got. $150 better! I wonder if I could return my Flip 4 that I got through Samsung, get a refund and get one through best buy?

However, if you just can't resist those high trade in values and decide to keep using them I would record yourself packing up your item INSIDE the FedEx store and handing it to one of their representatives.

This may be the best way to do it. Then email the video or link to the video to yourself (for the sake of a datetime stamp).

It is probably best way but Samsung could say once the camera was turned off your buddy handed box back to you and you took the phone out. I know this idea is out there but it could happen

Then you would go back and forth maybe the inspector that check the package stole the device and mark it empty

Yup and Samsung isn't going to get involved in that. Samsung will put very little effort in it. It boils down to this isn't a good situation to be in if you're the consumer.

I agree , if Samsung or FedEx can't fix the situation next is take legal action. That definitely the way I would go if they don't resolve it this will become criminal action theft so hopefully doesn't go that way .

Yes, but then you get legal fees and attorney costs. Sometimes a letter from a lawyer will get enough attention, hopefully it don't get that far. As others have said it seems like FedEx and Samsung figure it out and customer didn't get charged.

That will be part of the legal action against FedEx and Samsung once they find the verdict pay for cost but yeah start with lawyer letter

It's going be a process that no one wants to be in , but with the history of FedEx employees stealing history that's first place I go to.

That is a horrendous situation, OP. Please continue to keep us updated on what happens. I hope you and your wife get your refunds. I can't fathom how and why people do such low-grade things such as stealing.

I will. A soon they call me or send me an email I will post back

Hi I just got an email of my return and they send me a video and the box was empty out. The only thing there was the case box and the case of the buds. Do you guys know how to resolve this issue?? I don’t want to loose almost $2000

This is unfortunate and I am completely understand the amount of anxiety over this. I too experienced this but in reverse where my package were lost from Samsung and missed out the early adopter discount. Samsung can be a pain in the A$$ to deal with as well when it come to this type of things. Majority of them a clueless of what to do with the situation and customer is in the middle of it.

Good luck and keep us update.

It's really appalling how this seems to be increasing in frequency. I'm surprised the story hasn't been making the rounds in the press -- maybe that would light a fire under FedEx and/or Samsung to address the problem.

This is an update just today. I'm speaking to them right now and they said they were going to escalated again. Let's see what happens next

From what I've noticed with all the folks that this has already happened to, is that the squeaky wheels got greased... in other words if you dog them like a pitbull on a postman's leg, you get your money back. If you shrug your shoulders and say darn, there goes 2 grand, then the money's gone

But that's true of most things in life ;)

Well it's always the squeaky wheel that gets the grease. With Samsung you better get real squeaky. I would expect anyone in this situation to get squeaky and not shrug their shoulders. As you see with their first response, Samsung did not get real involved, they sent a generic letter
