The Nexus 6 should receive the OTA Marshmallow update by the summer of 2016.
Vzw is Always the agonizing last for OTA. All sorts of ROMs /kernels, - - - stock, enhanced for 6.0 are available for the flashing. The real Nexus experience is not having to wait for carrier's glacially slow procedures to deliver the new Android versions. The real Nexus experience is unlocking bootloader, installing custom recovery and flashing roms. I'm on Verizon and have been enjoying Marshmallows for weeks now. WTF? Take the plunge! Live a little! Not so enamored with the Nexus experience anymore. Still don't have 6.0 OTA on VZW. My MXPE has had the new play store for about a week now, nothing new on my N6. May get 6.0 on it before the N6 too. WTF?
Don't worry - updates are sent in waves and it can take day(s) or week(s) before you receive the update. There's no waiting if you want to update manually, which you can find here: Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA links for Nexus devices | Android CentralI think Google forgot about me. I'm still waiting. ????????????

I've watched multiple video's and read many articles on side loading. I have the software on my pc to do it. But every time I try and sideload updates, it doesn't work.

Some users even reported that with a factory reset you may force a OTA update once you set up the device.
