Yes, it took about fifteen minutes to begin downloading. Once it began everything ran smoothly.

I still haven't received the OTA, either. Build LMY48T, Verizon. My nexus 5 received the update a couple weeks ago. Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 6 are still on 5.1.1.

I cannot explain the occurrence. As I said, healthy dose of skepticism. I just followed another posters high level overview with a few extra steps, listed, to try to kick this thing in the buttocks and it worked.

Sideloading is ridiculously easy. Like 3 commands and it's done.

I have tried sideloading as well but got an error saying I needed an updated version of ADB, and I can't locate an update. I downloaded a new Android SDK, and all no dice. I've sideloaded before and it is simple...when it works.

Did you get it on the first try? I pulled the sim and did a FDR and did not get anything. Nexus 6 (Unlocked, Verizon)

Could someone please explain what the hell FDR stands for? And don't say Franklin Delano Roosevelt!!!

Giving it another shot - got the Update, but it has been stuck on "Waiting to Download for about 20 minutes now.

Just an update - Got an error that it could not download the 6.0 update. Hit retry and it immediately started downloading. Officially on 6.0!!! Thanks for all the help.
