Finally!! 6.0 OTA

First try after FDR. I tried several times before FDR. This was purchased online from EBay vendor so I am not sure which version of its but it is not Verizon version. It does work fine on Verizon.

What's your build? MRA58K?

I got it yesterday up here in Canada, I'm on Bell.
HUGE difference in Stand by over night. Battery was at 94% at approx 10pm , checked again at approx 630am at 92%, been using emails and phones calls so far today and im at 86%

I sideloaded the OTA and activated Project Fi soon after. Everything is working well and the battery life is much better.

Re: Fyi 6.0 OTA on Nexus 6 available immediately after factory reset

I was running a custom rom and decided to go back to stock and flashed the factory image of 6.0. Love it so far. Extremely fast and smooth. I'm unencryted too.

Looks like it's AT&T LMY48W that is currently roadblocked. I have been mulling about flashing MRA58K manually but having to restore apps and data afterwards is just not something I really look forward to. I have yet to see LMY48W -> MRA58K OTA link posted anywhere.

I have lvy48h and a tmobile sim. Hope it comes soon.

Switching to Project Fi will not get you faster updates. If anything, they are slower. As they have a special sim and everything. When I went to Fi initially I thought this might be the case, but with everything still in testing, and working kinks out, it is usually a good trip weeks behind the rest.

OK, so, after a healthy dose of skepticism, I decided to give the SIM pull, WiFi and FDR route a try, AGAIN. Here is the process step-by-step that was undertaken to receive the update. I switched off Cellular Data, left only WiFi on, pulled the SIM card and lastly performed FDR. After finishing the FDR, I skipped through the menus up to the WiFi option. Ensured the WiFi was on and receiving a signal. Then blasted through the remainder of the menu items and viola, M6 prompt to DL, I am in Nebraska on Verizon. Good luck!

Can someone explain why the Sim pull / FDR seems to work to push the OTA update? A lot of the time it appears to be Voodoo, bull****, and wizardry to me.

Yay well I did that and bless your heart it worked....but I'm still on the screen waiting to download. Does it take a while?

Question: do you insert the sim after you get the system update message?
update: it's downloading now.
update: ok, it acted like it downloaded it and it said it verified but its still 5.11. what is wrong?
