Finally decided.

Have been driving myself crazy trying to decide between this and the Pro 8.4. Went to Best Buy for the 3rd time and compared and I'm going with the S. The Pro is like $303 after tax at BB and I could get the S at TigerDirect with no tax for $399. The $100 savings was tempting but I think the LCD on the Pro looks like ****. I know a lot of people prefer the LCD over the "over-saturated" Super Amoled but I don't think it's even close. The LCD looks so dull, it doesn't even look like it's the same resolution IMHO. Am I making the right choice peeps?

I don't think you're making the wrong decision. I too was undecided and waited for the Nexus 9 specs. When it was announced I thought it was a no-brainer and I would get the Tab S. After going to see them at BB I then had to decide between the 10.5" and 8.4" and which color! Decisions, decisions.

I finally decide that I'll go with the 8.4 since I think it'll be easier to handle on the go and will be taking it with me during my frequent business travels. However, I think I'll wait till the end of November before I finally pull the trigger. Maybe there'll be some black Friday price drops and maybe by then Samsung might even push out the Lollipop update. Regardless, I'll probably still buy it.

I'm willing to spend a little more for the "latest and greatest" even if it'll be eclipsed by the next version within 6 months to a year. There'll always be something better in the pipeline and you have to pull the trigger at some point. The amoled screen, SD card slot, and the multi-screen capability is what decided it for me.

Haha congrat mate for making the right decision...hope that make you feel better! Previously, I was exactly in the same position, contemplating between the Pro & S 8.4 due to the tempting saving.

I totally agree with you! It's ideal for your frequent business travel. Black Friday is coming soon, hope you'll able to pull the trigger very soon.

I'm ridiculous with not being able to make up my mind. I just saw the Note 4 in Best Buy and I'm in love. Off contract the cheapest I'm seeing though is around 700 which is out of my price range.

I know, you're not alone mate lol! Wow $700 is a great price! Here our SRP is $850 but the lowest we can find is around $760. Thank god my contract will expire by next month so I can renew my contract & get the new Note 4. Now I can't eat nor sleep until the gorgeous babe is in my hands!

Don't think I've ever wanted a piece of tech more. The screen is so fn gorgeous. Watched some Premier League highlight video on youtbe and even though obviously wasn't in 4K it just looked incredible. Txt was so clear I could of read about paint drying and it would of been fascinating. Never played with such a snappy device either. That SD 805 is a beast. Even on bestbuy's **** wifi it was still blazing fast. It's crazy but it's clearly better than the Tab S which itself is obviously pretty impressive. So as of right now I've got some Note 4's being watched on ebay through sellers I trust won't scam me. Right now they're all in the mid $500's. They all end tonight so if they end up being bid to around $700 it'll be out of my price range so then I'm just going to have to go on TigerDirect and get the Tab S for 379.99 on sale. Fingers crossed though I can snatch a Note 4 for $600 but I doubt it!

I have this device and it is beautiful to hold, look at and use. If you disable the wifi scan when unplugged you get pretty awesome standby battery life from the device. I do not regret the purchase at all.
