firmware update to android 4.2.2

I am running the official leaked stock UK version for the GT-N5110. I am not rooted. I live in the US and so far no issues. What is a flash counter?

In the About device -> Status screen, does it show Official, or Custom?

Refer to my screenshot below.

I have a GT-N5110 and live in the UK, but no matter what I do I can't get it to update, I have tried Kies and Settings -> About Device ->Update but they just say that I have the latest version, any ideas why I can't update?

I too have the same tablet and cannot seem to get the latest update. the 4.2.2.I live in the US so if anyone out there knows why it would be great to hear from you. thank you! =)

Mine too, no multiple user accounts or photoshperes though which were the two features I was looking for :(

That's odd I just checked the files on sammoblie and I appear to have the "Cellular South" build rather than the UK version.
Does anyone know why my Note 8 is getting the US update rather than the UK one?

After updation to adroid 4.2.2, my samsung galaxy note n5100 s pen functionality is not working.
Does anyone know how to unlock this feature?

I just checked my software update and it looks like there is a hefty update waiting for me!
Will install it when I am home on my internet connection - more stable than work.

I am running the Galaxy Note 8 GT-N5110 - Un-Rooted - Wi-Fi - US Version.
Woo hoo!
Looks like it officially rolled out for our Note 8s!

Updated this am. Now can use OTG connector to play a movie directly from memory stick, no transfer needed.com nice

No, we're both in the UK.
I found a widget called Weather which seems to have replaced Accuweather but doesn't look quite as good. Perhaps it was cheaper.......

I've found the reason for being unable to enter my PIN but that deserves its own thread.

I think I found the weather one, but was using a picture viewer on second half of screen, you didn't happen to find a picture program did you

Got the 4.2.2 update forced upon us a couple days ago (OTA) and am seriously bummed. Although almost everything seems to work as it used to (despite complaints of others of a variety of standard features being somehow disabled), most of the changes/improvements (to features we actually use) are quite annoying and even unacceptable to us.

One of the games the wife was quite fond of quit working but I worked that out by downloading and installing the SAME (but updated) game from the Google Play Store rather than its original source: Samsung Apps. Go figger???

The weather widget has changed and we don't like it at all. The old one (some refer to it as the S3 style) was perfect (IMHO) but the one that replaced it is crude and unattractive. Can anyone tell me how I could get the old one back?

Another real annoyance is to the stock browser. The tabs are somehow LARGER (taller)...taking up more screen space of the browser, less actual browser window available for viewing. The update has also ruined the bookmarks. The folders are larger and quite stupid looking. In addition, if the browser screen is customized to slide the left-side folders off the screen, upon re-opening of the "bookmarks", the configuration reverts back to having 2 sets of folders: left-side small, right-side super-large. Hate it.

Another change (although trivial) is the change of the banner color to some puky, dark teal. I suppose if it were that color with 4.1.2, I would probably be complaining about whatever color they'd have changed it to with the 4.2.2 update.

I've got a longer list of "updates" that have really left a bad taste in my mouth but I'll save them for another time. Overall, I'd give almost anything to get 4.1.2 restored to the wife's wonderful Note 8.0. I'm seriously tempted to drop the big bucks AGAIN for another Note 8.0 with 4.1.2 and deny any OS updates (if that's possible). I'm probably gonna get flamed for these comments but I'm hoping there will be replies to this tirade to help alleviate some of the problems (IMO) the 4.2.2 update has caused us.

I've been told that a "factory reset" would NOT revert the OS back to 4.1.2. Is there some hope with use of the "recovery console"???

Regards,

EnzoS

In order to go backward you'd need the 4.1.2 image that could be flashed via ODIN. I don't know that it exists but I'm sure some searching would turn it up. I don't like this update either but it hasn't really hurt that much. I miss my context pages(headphones/pen) but it's not a game changer for me.
