Yeah I just doubt anything from the S8 to the Note will be that different to justify it.

no, it's 0.1" wider and the same amount taller. to the naked eye it's the same width as the S8+.

Normally I would agree... But to best honest the next Pixel / iPhone interest me more .

Let's do this! Can't wait to finaly get my spen back. S8 Plus is a great phone but it's not a Note. It's that simple for me.

That's cool. I still like ya lol. I'll stick with my note addiction. I couldn't get myself to like the iPhone 7 plus I have lol.

I'm noticing a trend.

The S7 was curvier but the Note7 wasn't.

Seems to be the same here.

S7e's edge curve is more pronounced than Note 7.

But this time S8 and Note 8 seem like will have same edge curve.

Corner wise yes Note is more squarish than S series all along

doesn't excite me this year like previous years, after the whole note 7 debacle last year that made me use the iPhone 7 plus for 6 months I actually this time around might wait for the iPhone 8.

This is not about functionality at all, it is about a narcisistic "new form factor". Design over function. (And frankly I don't know who likes the design). So it is not about new tech at all. Samsung WILL be losing customers over this.

They may lose some, but they'll probably gain more new customers as well.

People said users want removable battery, but phones which hang onto removable batt did not sell well. People said no one want curve screen but S7E and S8 are some of Samsung's best selling phones.

Well frankly, buddy, I do. I like quite a bit more each glance. Company's lose customers all the time, that's business. But they still have one here.

I know it's been said before, but the Note isn't the regular upgrade path from the S series. It doesn't wow me either. But, I will be losing my S8 one way or another. If I the Note8 is way overpriced for what it brings, I may go to the S8+ and end my fascination with the Note series. At the time I started using the Notes, it was the only option for a big screen. The S-pen was a bonus. It's not something I would pay an extra $100 for, though. They typically had better internals than the S series and brought new features before the S series phone shows. Now, there's little distinction be sides the S-pen. They are the first flagship with the dual camera and retina scanning, though. I'll give them that.

Yeah retina scanning sounds cool and all but a very meh feature (at least to me).

So 3mm taller and a tad over a mm wider than a S8+ and a tad thicker (162.5mm x 74.6mm, with an 8.5mm vs 159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1 mm)... one tall phone.
