I'm noticing a trend.

The S7 was curvier but the Note7 wasn't.

Seems to be the same here.

I like the look of the Note 8. I know the software, etc., will be better then my Note 5, so I'm preordering. Can't wait.

If the aspect ratio was maintained at 18.5:9, then it has to be wider because it's taller.

Not happy with this design. Why couldn't they keep the same dimensions as the note 7 with the less drastiic edge and just extend the screen towards the top and the bottom? The note 7 had the perfect form factor.

Because as 'time marches on', so does technology - Samsung refuses to stay in the past just because we liked it better!

This is not about functionality at all, it is about a narcisistic "new form factor". Design over function. (And frankly I don't know who likes the design). So it is not about new tech at all. Samsung WILL be losing customers over this.

The word "functionality" gets thrown around an awful lot lol. All phones are functional, and how much differs from person to person. There is no uniform way a phone is supposed to "function".

Everytime something changes, people say the same thing about losing customers. Yet Samsung continues to sell tens of millions of phones.

That doesn't even look real. I have heard that it's no taller than the S8 plus I'm okay with that but I wanted a wee Tad wider which it will be I think but I'm not going to get too excited until I actually see a picture of the phone, a real picture.

What kind of picture do you think that is? Do you think Evan Blass got his reputation by creating fakes? That picture was leaked to him by a Samsung insider.

Sadly.. the Note this year doesn't excite me.
