Hello everyone,

I've read a few experience so far in past threads but I was wondering if anyone can comment on moving from the Fitbit HR to the Gear S2. Overall, I like that the Fitbit HR continuously read my heart rate, that it can automatically keep track of cardio exercises, and that it integrated with MyFitnessPal. From what I gathered, the S2 doesn't really continuously read heart rate but frequently checks, you have to start S Health or Nike+ when beginning to exercise, and both S Health and Nike+ do not integrate with MyFitnessPal.

Has anyone who switched found the S2 to be better? If so, in what ways? How did you get around the limitations the S2 seems to have?

Thanks everyone.

I don't own an S2 but I do have a FitBit HR and I've been hands on with the S2. My biggest complaint with the S2 is the lack of third party app support. There doesn't really seem to be any workarounds on the S2 because it runs on TizenOS (Samsung's watch OS). Some people see this as an advantage because the OS is designed for the hardware (Apple-esque) but I don't like the lack of 3rd party support. I'm still in the market for an actual smartwatch but I will probably keep my fitbit for wearing during exercise.
