Flossy just posted his review on the S22 Ultra!

Yes, he says he uses his money when purchasing all his phones. What I'm saying is that if it were a traditional upgrade, he'd be trading in his phones but he's paying for each phone and keeps many of his older phones that you will see him pull out at times for comparison.

Of course you realize he's "upgrading" so that he can review them as a Youtuber to review and to be able to recommend to the avg consumer... that it's not worth upgrading. That was my point.

Of course I realize why he's upgrading. That's not my point. Calling something "phone of the year", and then telling people not to upgrade to it is incredibly ironic, regardless of the reason why.

People who upgrade aren't upgrading because they need a new phone. No one "needs" a new phone, unless your current phone is virtually unusable. It's a want, and the very reason channels like his exist.

In contrast, even if he told you TO upgrade, you wouldn't do it unless you could afford it, and you wanted it.

But sure, go ahead and play with your shiny new toy for 2 hours while the rest of us watch. Lmao

This. His job is to literally upgrade to whatever new phone comes out so he can review them and keep his job. Not sure I understand the criticism that he upgrades his phones all the time since he kind of has to. He's telling the average consumer, which isn't any of us, to not upgrade from the N20U to the S22U since it's an incremental upgrade.
Flossy is not the only reviewer I've watched who's given the same advice about other brands of phones. It's all about if the latest is a major upgrade or an incremental upgrade from the brands previous phones. It's all about diminishing returns and reviewer honesty and objectivity.

And everyone on these forums knows that yearly updates now days are incremental. The folding phones have possibilities of great updates to catch up with the S series, but Samsung has learned well from the apple University and will drag it out little by little and maybe even say they were waiting to perfect it, who knows.

I knew Flossy gets early models sent to him on loan to review and I knew he bought his own on release date, I didn't know he bought every one. It makes sense now as I remember him saying a couple times he is going to sell this one. He reviews a lot more then Samsung and phones, that's a lot of buying. Learned something today

Nope. He upgrades to every Samsung phone, with his own money. He says it upfront.

He's good about pointing out his personal biases and preferences as such. I've seen him recommend things if you want ______, when ______ doesn't interest him.

Unless the reason why is that phones in generral just don't change that much from year to year.

I think it's also worth bearing in mind that unlike most of us, his phones are also tax deductable lol.

An hour and a half for a phone review? Yikes. It's better than those 6 minute review videos, I guess.

Flossy's reviews are the only ones I really pay attention to since he actually spends time using the phone before reviewing it, unlike other reviewers who get a lot of views and only use the phone for five days before they go back to their iPhones.

I do like that Flossy uses his phones for a while before making a review, as well. I enjoy his reviews.

I watched this the other day. The first 45 min or so I was ready to cancel my order, but he goes on to give nice highlights about the phone and says it is still the best android phone currently available.

Brought my S22 ultra 512 gb and keeping my Note 20 Ultra ...will be using both phones everyday ...now that amazing....
I newaz use 2 phones everyday since years...will keep redmi Note 10 pro max in the drawer and make Note 20 ultra my work phone....

So what's the point if they both have dual Sim?

Let us know how you like your new phone when it arrives!

I'm happy with the phone. I paid for the extra large beautiful screen and it is gorgeous. My pics a fine. Speakers are fine. If have no gripes. iPhone is better at some things but I need Android for my purposes. There is no better Android AFAIK. My Note 9 won't be updated much longer.

I have 2 works number and 1 personal...so works perfectly fine..
Oh and just used S22 ultra portrait mode during sunsets less light and wow what amazing pics ..my Note 20 U would always have difficulty in getting to portrait mode and pics would be grainy...
But S22 ultra was spot on....
Love the S22 ultra so far...battery life is also very goodScreenshot_20220329-033741_Device%20care.jpg

His "opinion" was it wasn't worth upgrading from note 20. He's right, only main reason to upgrade was camera. That's the case for most upgrades, camera. Camera is about the only thing they can make real noticable upgrades anymore. If you're a camera junkie then this upgrade is for you and you will disagree with flossy..

Remember it's his "opinion". Most recent upgrades are the camera. The smart ones in here are the ones that only upgrade every 2 years or more, not yearly or less. I'm "not" one of the smart ones.

You stated obvious. Upgrade if you want, call it not much of a upgrade is an opinion. For the note 20 being 2 years old and camera is main upgrade says it all, maybe in 3 years there will be something major to upgrade besides the camera. And yes, I know there were minimal upgrades elsewhere, the camera is the main upgrade.

I didn't say not do it, I said the camera is the reason.

Contrary to popular belief, battery life is DEF improved for my use over my old N20U. Not just camera. Screen resolution also blows away my N20U. Brighter and sharper.

I have both as well. Decided to use my Note 20 Ultra as my secondary work phone.
I like to bounce between the fold 3 and the S22U, but it's such a PITA to do it that I don't do it much.

First issue is taking the case off the fold 3 as it is taped, which wears the tape sticky off and it risks taking the antenna covering off.

The second issue which is the biggest issue is I also have the Samsung watch 4. You have to reset the watch every time and the watch face settings do not back up and restore, even if the same watch face is on both phones.

If I could have 2 separate SIM cards with one number so I could have it set up I just have to turn one phone off and turn the other one on to switch phones I would swap between phones more often. I would even consider buying a second watch also. Just use appropriate watch for each phone.
