For real this time too: EC10 kernels

Just flashed this voodoo EC10 about an hour ago and battery percent has only moved 3% Thats with everything turned on too ( GPS, auto rotate, WIFI, Blutooth, Data etc. ). Tried opening all my apps and didnt really notice any difference in speed over EB16. Also ran Quadrant and am about 1100 points lower. Will ckeck back later on battery stats.

1100 points lower or 110 points lower? If you are 1100 points lower you have gone from voodoo to nonvoodoo

It's a good thing I have time on my hands...

I installed the data wipe version of 2.9 and restored my apps+data using TBu. I did NOT restore system settings. Now that everything has reloaded I STILL have an error with Launcher Pro. It only happens once and then everything is fine so I guess I'll live with it for now. Another thing is that when I press the softkey for apps the apps screen is blank black. I got it back before but I forget how. I'll have to work on that. ---Edited to add that I used the Task Manager to end LP, then restarted it. The apps came back. ---

I'm currently running a backup via CWR. After that, since it does not seem to have any effect on the LP problem, I'll re-flash the new kernel and see if I get the wonderful results others are getting.

Good grief I'm getting a lot of practice with troubleshooting and restoring today!

Okay, I was still having issues with the phone so I am now re-flashing 2.9 and starting fresh.

Update: It's still giving Launcher Pro errors! I did the non-data wipe version of 2.9. I'll reboot and see if it does it again. If it does I guess I'll try COMPLETELY from scratch and do the wipe data version. Something must be wonky.

Good catch Landshark you are the AC spell checker lol ! It was only 110 lower.
But good news! I was wondering why everyone was getting much better performance and not me so i did a reboot and shazzam! Everything flys now..and i re-ran quadrant and now im 153 points HIGHER than before at 1603 Yeah now im sitting cool. And i was just over at the the SC 2.9.1 thread and read 2.9.2 is coming out....can it get any better people??!!
Im keeping this phone no Thunderbolt or others for me!

When you did your restore did you restore missing apps with data or all apps with data? Make sure you only use the missing apps option.

I *think* I just did the missing apps because I remember going through the list to make sure there wasn't anything on it that I did not want back. But I can't swear to it at this point.

Ok. Wasn't trying to spell check, more concerned you may have inadvertently flashed the nonvoodoo kernel without disabling lag fix and were heading for a train wreck. Much better being a typo.

Man, this feels like that bestbuy buyback commercial ...you think you have the latest and greatest rom/kernal and then Bam, a newer than your rom/kernel is out ..and your like " but I just flashed the new one yesterday, what the .."

I went from eb16 voodoo to ec10 voodoo about an hour ago and it seems like it has a lot more zip. It is noticeable faster.
