[Forum Game] New Thunderbolt goodie? UPDATE: One of us is right!

Ok, first post, waiting for my tbolt. Got this last night from a local verizon store manager that i know. I hope it's wrong, he previously told me the 24th also, so take it for what it's worth:..... "So it's looking like it will be AT LEAST the 18th of this month so far. I guess they can not get past the battery life only lasting 3 hours but for now thats what we are looking at. I'll keep you posted if anything else comes out!!"

In all honesty, I think this thread should be closed. I would be VERY surprised if any of the things discussed here come to pass.

To my knowledge, VZW usually makes their press releases in the morning. I'm pretty sure the one for the Xoom was shortly after 9am.

One interesting thing is I saw a Thunderbolt commercial on TV last night.

When I've seen it in the past, it usually says "coming soon" at the end, but last night it didnt'. It just said "the HTC Thunderbold, the first 4G LTE phone. Only on Verizon."

Made it sound like it's already out....

Not a huge deal if it's not announced today - the guessing game was loads of fun. If the game hadn't been going on we would have had no news and lots of boredom and more snarky comments. It's all good.

No huge deal for us, the wait simply continues.

But it shoots Bennnnnnnnnnnnnnnn's credibility to hell. Either he doesn't know what he's talking about, or he posts ephemeral information in an effort to either A) ingratiate himself to us for reasons known only to him, or B) spin up a frenzy on forums. B) makes him either a troll or Verizon PR. Either way, he's nowhere to be found here, he's likely having a great laugh at this forum's expense.
