From OnLeaks, Get Excited

What were the dimensions reported? The LG Nexus is 8mm thin and the Huawei is 6.6mm right? I'm not hopeful for a huge battery in either. 2800 in the LG and maybe 3100 in the Huawei sounds like the best they can do.

Hauwei is known for fitting a larger battery in tight spots. it'll be at the very least 3500 ... I wouldn't be shocked to see 2800 on that lg though

It's nice to have a battery discussion, but I think what might also be lost in the conversation is what Google is suppose to be doing with the Marshmallow changes... of course I don't think any of those changes would help someone that wants to watch 18 hours of TV/Movies, and still have 8-12 hours of battery life. Most of the changes I have read about where around the standby. Of course we don't know what real life testing will yield for battery life, plus there are always those 10% that over due usage beyond the norm.

God I hope not dude.

I don't see why they feel the need to sacrifice a few mm's for add'l battery size. I love my 2014 Moto X but I don't love having to worry about the battery.

seriously. I just don't get it. do you remember back in the day with our flip phones how nice it was to head out with 50% and the next day it still had 15% left?

what these OEMs just don't realize, is that it's more than the size of a battery. people might not even consciously realize it, but it's that feeling of security, knowing that we don't have to worry about our phone dying during the day.

I'm kinda adventurous, often not knowing where my day is going and i crave that freedom to be able to do what I want, when I want, without being tied down to some battery pack or quick charger.

people buy feelings, not products ... and what would make you feel better? a phone that's unnoticeably thinner than your last one? or knowing that if you're in an emergency, you can feel secure and comfortable knowing you're phone isn't gonna die on you?

marketing 101, and shocking it still hasn't been addressed.

Ahh, flip phones... Back in the days when you could charge it up, leave it in your bag for a week, and still have about 90-95% left.

This is the defense I saw a lot of iPhone fanboys use in reference to the iPhone's protruding camera. Thinness is apparently preferred to lightness. I think it's all crap. I prefer battery life to thinness (to a certain degree) and lightness. An 8 mm Huawei nexus wouldn't have killed them. It would've meant no camera hump, more battery, while still in a pretty thin phone. I'm almost worried about the 6.6mm spec. That's bordering on too thin.

It does look a little less in you face.

Yeah, and you know what, I'm looking at the intro video again, and the "hump" isn't really a hump. Nothing sticks out. All you see is a slight curvature, but the actual phone is seamless. Nah, I think yesterday's leak was just to stir up hype.

I just took a screenshot from the video. Zoom in, and you see the hump, but nothing protrudes.

Really, it's all about the finish on the back that will determine how the hump looks. The leak from yesterday look jarring because of the black on white contrast. My guess is that it will look a lot better if it is all the same design/color.

Still a lot of bezel on the front. The hump doesn't look as bad as the first pics. No where near Droid X/ RAZR like we thought

I think the original leak said the camera hump was supposed to be under 2mm. I saw sites comparing it to that ZTE phone with a 5mm (or bigger) camera hump. That probably boosted the reaction some, but I think Huawei is gonna have a pretty nice phone. I would still rather have a 7.5-8mm thick device with more battery, but if they can fit at least 3500 in this frame, I might be going big on the Nexus decision.

I commented on one of the videos, and Jermaine himself said it's 1.3 mm, and that depending on the angle, it looks rounded. So it's not at all as bad as the leak from yesterday showed.

Personally, I'm hoping for that 4,200 mAh battery that I heard a rumor about, but I don't know if it would fit, given that 1.3mm number I was told.

Sounds great. If our battery hopes come true with the 3900 mAh rumor, all they need to get right is the camera and most of us will be pleased.

I second that. Short of the 4 200 mAh rumor I heard, 3,900 mAh would certainly work for me, too.

If they fit a 4200 mAh battery in the Huawei Nexus, I'll buy it just off general principle. I'm dying to hear an official announcement, Google!

same hear. I can deal with a mediocre camera if the battery is in that range. for me, that's a fair tradeoff

This is very encouraging to hear, think I'm getting excited again.
