From OnLeaks, Get Excited

Just saw this on PhoneArena. It's only doing more to help my belief that we're gonna see the new Nexus phones before October.

I know they have more access to information than we do, but I have to think if they released it now they'd have a lot more success. now if they were in stores or even available in October that'd be different, but with their putrid distribution history, it's tough to get the color/storage you want before December. release it now and by October they'll be readily available.

I need more details so I can make a decision between the LG or Huawei. I was all set for the LG one until I saw that render, so now I just need concrete details on the differences and some legit camera samples from both. I have more faith in LG with the camera at the moment, but who knows what can happen.

Damn

I was hyped until I read his tweet. I didn't realize how much I valued design until I saw what could have been

Just now from OnLeaks, for the LG inclined...

that bottom pic is stunning ... and u guys and gals know by now I'm not big on the aesthetics, but that pic even has me excited.

this tells me Google is taking Fi extremely seriously and intends on Nexus being a very big part of that development. Also, you only get one chance at a first impression, and if they are indeed entering the largest market on earth, what better way to show up than with a device that looks like this!

very impressive, extremely optimistic ... I'm typing on a nexus 4 right now so u can imagine my excitement level.

Saw that since yesterday. There's actually a black and a red render as well. The black is pretty sleek! Definitely just a fake render but a darn good one.

I'm a moderate user and couldn't get through a full day w/o a charge on this Note 4 which has a massive battery. The point of my post is people will never be satisfied w/ a battery until it lasts all week. They may be at first but eventually they're going to want more. I wouldn't say it's an issue over people being greedy about the onscreen time they feel their phone should have. Not only that, what you do w/ your phone, as you know, has the biggest wear on the battery. If I'm constantly playing Clash of Clans all day, sure, this thing will die quickly even w/ a 4k battery. If I'm just browsing the WWW then it will last all day. You could call it an issue all you'd like but how many people have made drastic changes to their battery size and structure? Sure, they're biggest as the phones are bigger but you don't see companies getting 5k size batteries yet b/c people are whining it's not big enough. Why?

And I never said no one couldn't vent their frustrations. It's just a simple, playful jab at people who post about batteries 60% of the time. They will not be satisfied even w/ the number the battery size says it is.

thanks for the explanation and my apologies for taking your original statement out of context. my response was meant to be a bit more light hearted than how it probably came off. at the end of this day I'm a lot more concerned about respecting people and their opinions than I am about battery size, cameras or anything else we discuss around here!

I can't believe I'm spending this much time talking about looks. BT MotoMaker with the Pure and now this, maybe I'm turning over a new leaf!!

I always loved that gun metal from HTC. it would look sick on this phone. I mean, it could be pink with a picture of Hello Kitty like that phone on Breaking Bad and I'd still get it, but if it even resembles what we've recently seen, it's gonna be pretty slick.

Launch day is gonna be a nightmare, these will be Google's best selling Nexus phones ever, specifically the LG version. it'll be interesting to see if they put more resources into marketing then they've done in the past. Personally, I think Nexus is just a piece of the much more lucrative Fi puzzle, so we'll soon see what they do.

I'm betting we'll hear an announcement in late September/early October. The last major Nexus release was October 15th, preorder on the 29th, and delivery in early October.

What killed the hype? The pictures look great to me but the tweet has been pulled so I have no idea what was said....

I play with my food
