From OnLeaks, Get Excited

If the 5 has a 2,300 mah battery, then Google is just dumb. There will be riots in the streets (figuratively speaking...maybe).

I'm being pessimistic but it's what I think is going to happen. I see the new Moto G has a ~2400 battery and that thing is much thicker than the N5 will be but smaller screen, but larger bezels. So in other words, I'm just stirring the pot. :D

Here's what I expect in terms of battery:

Nexus 5 = 2,300
Nexus 6 = 3,000

I sure hope you are not even close... and I'm sure why you would expect this... it's way too small... the Nexus 5 should be at least 3,000!!!

Are either of these phones going to come with a stylus like the note? I thought I read someone is coming out with a competitor to the note 5. I was really hoping to get the note 5 but I hate what Samsung did to it. Now I can't find any phone that interests me. I have an S6 now and hate it.

Android Marshmallow is supposed to come with stylus support via Bluetooth, so you'd be good there. And LG is supposed to come out with a "Note"-type device later this year, which would be good, if it stays with the removable battery and SD storage.

Rumored battery on the Nexus 5 is 3,180 mAh. I'd call for pitchforks if your guesses prove true.

I sure hope you are right but I don't see that happening. The phone looks pretty thin so it'd be hard to pack that into that smaller shell.

I think you're way of with your 2300/3000 estimates ... that's excessively underpowered for what these phones are supposedly packing. Hauwei is known for their larger batteries, and 2300 is a huge step backwards for LG.

Doesn't the mate 7 have a 4000 mah?

I really hope that doesn't happen. However, while we're speculating. If it does happen they'd be foolish not to include quick charging. Imagine waiting for that tank to fill.....

Here's hoping you're way off! :) I think the 5 will go for at least 2600, but I'm hoping for 2700-2800. The Galaxy S6/S6 Edge have more than 2300 and they're both a lot thinner than the Nexus 5 will be. The 6 should be able to go way over 3000.

I'm hoping for a bit more ... 3200 and 3800 would be ideal. 3000/3500 would be acceptable and anything less would be alarming.

I despise the "energy efficiency" talk that's somehow popular in 2015, but between Doze, possible 1080p display, and what the Note 5 seems to be getting out of 3000 mAh, it is worth considering to a certain extent.

my issue with the whole smaller, efficient/optimized battery think is that if that's the case, then why not take advantage of it with a larger battery and get that much more life out of it ... nobody is gonna complain if they get an extra 2 hours SOT, and personally, I won't be satisfied until I can go a full day of heavy use without even thinking about having to charge my phone.

Since we are all just guessing anyways.... I'm saying at least 2,800, and more than likely 3,000 for LG's version... and then tack on another 1,000 for Huawei's version.
