He mentions the battery quite often in his tweets. Maybe this is just me trying to justify or see exactly why the price of the phone went up. Maybe they had to upgrade the battery and that is where the additional costs are coming into play. Its really the only thing that makes sense at this point. Usually they but a half ass battery in to start with with the intentions of you upgrading, maybe they didn't have that option with this phone. That's just my guess anyway and it seems to make sense.

We will probably see an official release date some time this week, but I doubt will get this week. With bad buzz around the phone they need to flood the media with release date for week or more to get the momentum back in their favor. If they just show release date for few days then they will have lackluster launch number wise. The reason being because people have been waiting, but had to hear delay after delay. Furthermore features missing from TBOLT as well problems with phones performance as well that will make first time buyers weary. Verizon/HTC will need to build back up the rep phone has lost in their commercials even try to dispel problems with the phone.

I agree, i am paying 150 dollars a month for an envy and an original storm. Way too much disposable income already...I swear I have no problem getting two freaking flip phones if I could cut the bill in half. What happens when my kids get older and need phones? Then again....if people will pay more..that is how supply and demand works...I hope the plans do not go up in price or I may need to step back for a few days and think it through it bit better.

No, Sprint charges all 3G and 4G smartphone users an extra $10.00 a month, and then gives us TRUE unlimited data without threatening to throttle us back if we are heavy users. I used 27GB of 4G last month, and my bill was still $72.00 after discounts. Verizon would (will) start charging a tiered rate if they saw their potential for $$ streaming across the airwaves.

yeah, they changed that recently, but the person was asking about 4g phones and not wanting to get charged if there not in a 4g area. when WIMAX first came out it was like this, "dont life in a 4g area but have the evo? 10 dollars please!" lol
