front facing camera picture quality: ugly glowy/fuzzy looking. can it be changed?

Whenever I take a front facing picture on my samsung galaxy s3, it automatically applies some sort of smoothing filter that makes pictures look glowy and fuzzy. Is there any way to change that???

Lol, its not a fuzzy filter, it's called a low resolution camera.

What resolution did you use??? Because I have the tmobile samsung galaxy s3 and the front camera is awful! I take a picture and it comes out fuzzy, like a smooth filter

I took front camera pictures on my Verizon S3 (SCH-I535, 4.1.2, MF1) at all three supported resolutions and they all looked reasonable (considering the subject matter)

I didn't change any default settings (auto-focus, etc).

Haha.. I found a solution: Making a screenshot of the screen instead of taking the actual picture.
