Froyo ETA Set

I heard from a dude that has a friend that knows a guy who heard from the VZW CEO of Droids that the Dx is skipping Froyo and going straight to Ice Cream.

I believe the hold up is the fixes they are trying to roll into the froyo update. Yes the droid 2 is running the same ui but it is still a different phone and had its own issues right now. The x is their flagship and I'm sure they wanna fix all they can with this update. What good is froyo if they don't fix any bugs and introduce new ones in the process?

Thank God we're still the flagship device. I would die if the D2 were the flagship.

Nothing personal toward the OP, but I am exhausted, if not annoyed, by all the rumors and speculation about OS updates and device release dates. I'm in the weeds as much as anyone about the technology, and welcome new advances, but nearly all the blogs are trying to pass off whispers and "I heards" into legitimate news. I love a juicy tip just as much as the next person, but come on. I just got my X a month ago. I can comfortably wait a month (or three) for an full OS update.

I hit update and ALMOST got Froyo. Then I went to Dairy Queen, they arent known for the Froyos. Stand by.

Froyo & Custom ROMs Coming Soon

Well folks,

It looks like our Froyo and custom ROMs are right around the corner now.

Here's a picture of P3Droid from MyDroidWorld.com and Froyo loaded on his Droid X.

We'll get this up on the forums as soon as it's available (not yet).

The excitement and anticipation is killin me right meow!
