I'm about to dive in, as well. Here's hoping we don't get screwed as far as the radio goes, cause if we do, potentially buh-bye future updates.
But who knows, maybe this is the final version and it will all go live tomorrow.
Here's another link to go back to Stock after applying the Radio Update

Excellent then. No fear on this one.
Sorry about that, I stopped following the XDA thread when it got to like 23 pages or so.
Anyways, flashing the Stock ROM. Then the OTA update. Then FROYO!
This may be off topic, but I've been following the xda thread on the leaked 2.2 for several hours....
Do people not READ?
After 5+ hours of a thread blowing up, with detailed instructions, being regularly updated for field-test issues, even I can do this from memory and I'm not planning on doing it!
I would never perform a mission critical update on any OS without carefully reading the instructions and following every step carefully, but after 6+ hours people are still wondering why their camcorder won?t work after they applied the update w/o installing the Leaked OTA radio/720p update!
I?m not even a member at xda and I want to RAGE at these fools.
Sorry had to vent.

Lol, seconded, and this is why I stopped following that thread.
Ugh. Why do I keep getting "Installation aborted" when trying to flash the OTA update? Here's the steps I took
Went back to stock from a rooted incredible with PMB31 thing or whatever.
Put "update" that I downloaded (the ota update) on the sd card, and its name is "update.zip".
Rebooted into recovery, click on update.zip.
It had trouble verifying the package, says it isnt signed right or something like that.
I would delete update.zip from your phone and computer and then redownload it, rename the file back to update.zip.
Your phone is.running a stock Rom with no root access right?
