DK17 Bluetooth voice dialing

Does anyone know if the beta roms for the Epic include Bluetooth voicedialing?...would be nice to know that it is really on its way with the official release

Benefits of Froyo:
1. Touchwiz 3.0, none of this 2.5 crap that they pass off as Touchwiz. Lots of enhancements like, adding/removing home pages, rearrange apps in the app drawer, dedicated video/sound recorder app, music player is not the stock android one,
2. JIT (Just-In-Time) Compiler. Sure, it increases benchmarks, but definitely a welcome addition.
3. Flash 10.1. Most won't care, but considering the Flash Lite doesn't work AT ALL on the 2.1 Epic, you'll notice that it works. With a little hackery, hulu works.
4. Access to 2.2 apps (kinda related to #3 if you will). Adobe AIR is an example. The live wallpaper I have now is another one.
5. I haven't tested this, but the bluetooth stack should be universal. Most devices connect, but the wiimote doesn't currently work on 2.1.
6. Yahoo Messanger (video) works (kinda). They still need to optimize it for the Epic where the screen orientation is correct, and sound working, but otherwise, I can see the person on the other end and they can hear me, I just can't hear them. This didn't work at all in the slightest with 2.1.
7. Stable. I'm still using the DJ29 Leak, and its very very stable for my use.

What about saving apps to the SD card instead of storing them on the phone's HD? I thought this was also a benefit of Froyo and if it is, I am SO ready for it...

This article looks like it was ruin quickly through Google Translate or something. Holy crap, I need advil now...

I wouldn't blame Samsung for the delay. Froyo for Galaxy has been out for a while. It has to go thru Sprint for some extra stewing before its official release. That means the delay is probably due to:

1) Sprint ID
2) Turning off WiFi tethering so they can charge an extra 20 bucks a month for it
3) Useless Sprint Zone alert thingy
4) Inferior Nav software that costs extra
5) WiMax stack

Did I miss anything? Of course, I'll be refusing the update until it's rooted anyway, which means an even longer delay for me.

1) not on any of the leaks
2) also, not on any of the leaks, and its $30 a month. There is a Froyo ROM with mobile AP working on it though
3) already on the leaks
4) already on the leaks
5) already on the leaks

What you're missing is that we pretty much have what they plan on releasing. No issues with 3G, 4G seems a bit slower (hopefully get fixed in an update or before release). Its in Sprint testing. I haven't found anything really that would stop Sprint from releasing.

1) God I hope not, don't want it.

2) This can be solved easily enough once rooted

3) Useless bloatware

4) Obviously you need to look at your bill, I have never had to pay for Nav from Sprint, and it has worked flawlessly everywhere, even Hawaii. I am on an everything plan which I think is required for smartphones.

5) Samsung will probably include this since they built the hardware.

Sprint ID is definitely coming. Sprint said so publicly. They also said it'll be optional, so no panic there. Maybe they are bundling it in a separate OTA update. My main point is that Samsung released 2.2 to Sprint, so don't blame Sammy for any delays.

froyo or straight to Gbread

where the snot is my update!! And btw, will I be able to store programs on my SD card? That would certainly speed up my phone, its betting bogged down with so many apps.

Now that we're into December with nothing teasing us in the rumor mill, I'm betting we'll be waiting for Froyo well into January.

I've used 2.2 on other devices and I really like it.

The latest Froyo leak is very stable with minimal bugs. Hopefully this is a sign that a final build is close or already completed.

:(

Say it isn't so!!! I hope for all of our sakes, that you are WRONG, but fear that you might be correct...

I feel Bamboozled and learned a valuable lesson....my next purchase will be AS IS without looking forward to an "update" once they get your money it seems they tend to take their time and I feel Like I waisted my money...I had this device since 08/31/10 and its now 12/3/10 and I still do not have something as simple as a software update? If our hackers can get it up and running you would THINK sprints HIGH payed engenieers could get it done! Exactly they can they dont want to they are waiting they got our money and they are running!

Our hackers are actually not the ones that got Froyo up and running - it was Sprint/Samsung. The version of Froyo available now is simply a leak from them, not a port from another device and not created from source code.

I sure hope the delay on Froyo's release isn't too much longer. Its great that Samsung got honors for selling over 3 million Galaxy S line and what over a million Tabs. I just hope they realize there is over 3 million Galaxy owners waiting on the Froyo update. Its very frustrating to here about Flash updates, Market updates and others that are aimed only at Froyo and we can't even get a taste of what we were promised shortly after the release of this phone.

I've thought about rooting my phone to get the leaked version but at the same time I really would like to get the official version rather than play around with a leak no matter how well its running.

GalaxySSupport on Twitter claims the update will be coming by the end of the year.

I love my phone and it works fine. Yes, I want the Froyo update, but until then my phone is still an efficient tool to help me get through my hectic days.
