FroYo Over The Air Update. Who Has It So Far? Check In Please

i am tempted to manually update but seeing the notification pop up will be so satisfying...trying really hard to hold out for it

Got it OTA this morning around 2:30am (I work nights). Have NO calendar sync whatsoever. I've tried every angle to make it sync. Not crazy about resetting to factory to fix this issue.

Weeeeeeee!...Well I just got mine about a half hour ago. Update downloaded much quicker than I thought it would. One problem I had was my GMail account got screwed up and would not authenticate the password. I had to take the account out and reinstall it then it was fine again. Will see.

OTA Push Interruptions?

Anybody know what would happen if you turned off your phone or lost your signal in the middle of the OTA push? Would your phone still keep getting a ping until back in service or would you think you would rotate further down the update list???

i hope that it would continue to ping the phone but that is a good question.

i know for my girlfriends phone when it updated to 2.2 (LG - Verizon), her phone turned off and when she turned it back on she was prompted to update.

I went out to get the car washed at Delta Sonic when I came back home I picked up the phone from the counter and noticed it was very warm I hit the wake button to see what was going on and there it was. It loaded so quickly on 3G that it makes me wonder if it really is a whole new operating system or just an add on to Eclair. Usually a whole operating system takes about 30 mins to load and install. This was like 6 mins. Im like OMG we waited and waited how many months for this 6 mins of glory?

just manually install it. its the same thing your getting with the OTA except without the wait! Took me 5 minutes to do a manual install and im not a techie.

If anyone is still wondering if it waits until your phone is idle, overnight, etc., the answer is no. I was just working in email (4:45 PM ET) when the popup came up saying the system update was ready to install. Cool! It's still installing right now. I'm in North Carolina and just got my Epic a week ago.

Dam my wife still waiting on hers n she got her epic on launch day but I don't knw if that makes a difference

It appears that most are reporting receiving the update in the AM before noon. I am hopeful I receive it when I power up my phone tomorrow morning. I would have used the Samsung link, but there appears to be mixed reviews on the process. I realize we may encounter the same issues with the OTA, but I figured I can wait another 2 days after waiting 4 months.
