[FullHDMI] Official FullHDMI discussion

thanks i love my system ive been into systems pretty much since the start of it all. hits amazingly hard for one sub and in a truck. i love messing with people in la traffic, its especially funny when they roll up the windows and think its gonna help at all...lol
what did u want a video of?
keep in mind the only video cam i have at my disposal right now is my evo, i just tried to take a video of me taking video, only thing i could do, and it just really trips out the video camera turns the screen blue and give lots of artifacts.
Id love to just show off my truck and post a vid but i think that would be a bit of a thread jack, if not that then at least totally off topic...lol
Yeah fitek post a video showing us the final work. I would like to see how its going to loom in my 7 indash.

Understand and hope things are ok on your end. If you drop the public release beta v2 without HW support for non-rooted phones you're ahead of the game.

I'll be happy to take and compile bug reports as well as techsupport while you get things taken care of.

HW support without root access is more a matter of "can it be done" than "when I have time to do it". There is so much you can do to the hardware when you do not have root permissions.

when the times right and he has it the way he wants he he will release it guys stop trying to rush him thru his work

I've been into car audio pretty much since the start too. My current car doesn't have anything though, all stock. I was trying to "grow up" lol. That's not going to last though, I'm about to go all out on it. I want video in the dash and on every headrest, with subs in the trunk. And I want a dock for my phone that lets me control the media from the steering wheel too.

You should post a video of your install. It sounds like it's probably a pretty awesome install, so I just wanted to check it out.

Hi all, sorry for the lack of updates lately and the sudden cloak-n-disappear. I have been really busy attending to family matters and continue to, as well as work schedule flying off the sheet right now. I am hoping I will have some time this week, and believe me as much as you guys are eager to get the new apk I am eager to fan it out so I can get my life back (:
I will keep you updated on whats going on. Non-rooted devices cannot have hardware mode right now and with the delay this feature has officially slipped. On the bright side, software mode landscape is now fullscreen (but choppy as software mode is).

Certainly understand "busy". Hope all is well and with the near perfect beta, I can patiently wait for updates. Still no audio through the HDMI on my end but RCA through the headset to surround sound system fixes that right up :). Also now getting excellent battery life with kernel, go figure.

What new kernel do you have??

i purchased this one when i plug in my phone it freezes it, does not work, no sure why

Really? They look like the exact same part only labeled differently. Either way, I'm not sure if going through all of this is worth it for me. I mainly wanted to be able to do it for my 2 y/o so she can watch Nick Jr. in the car, but I think I'll just turn on my Slingbox and give her the phone. That way I can still listen to the radio.

No sound? Have you tried it on different TV's and get the same result? If so, have you tried more than one HDMI cable? It sounds like an issue very isolated to your case and I'm thinking it may be TV incompatibility or a faulty cable.

It worked on my evo though i noticed when I went to my car and hooked my phone to my stereo via aux port, that there was no sound until i reinstalled my old kernel. I think at the time i had kings ultra r2 on

Nevermind i found it guys.

How do i get the kernal? I downloaded this awhile back and was waiting for my hdmi cable to get here, well it came today and I need the Kernal now as I didnt download it to start with.

You actually didn't need to change kernels, just needed to reboot the phone. It's an issue with the current version. The hdmi audio seems to stay connected sometimes even if the phone isn't. The developer is aware of this issue, and has it fixed in the next release.

pico pk201 pk301 optoma fails

Pico projectors wont be supported? Any way to pump the signal out hdmi without checking to ensure connection first? The optomas are really stupid they will just sit there until they are prompted to look on hdmi... and if nothing they time out in about five seconds... fullhdmi waits for connection... so the two never hook up.

Unfortunately I tried on four flat screens at home (1 Samsung, 3 LGs) as well as a Sony and 2 other LGs at work. I also took back my $29.95 HTC HDMI cable to Radio Shack and exchanged it thinking initially that was the problem. No dice, no sound. It may be my ROM (Myn's RLS5) but I doubt it as I've seen others running this on Myn's with no problem. I may need a flush and re-flash but I don't have a lot of spare time to set everything back up. Tried the first and the modded Net's kernel no change. No big deal though. I might have to take my beloved Evo back anyway and RUU the dang thing because I'm getting white blotches on the screen and sudden profound light leakage on the bottom. Again not enough time but I'll get around to it.
