[FullHDMI] Official FullHDMI discussion

I was having issues and downloaded busybox from the marketplace now all is good. Even though I previously had it because of titanium backup.

i just tried using the 720P resolution setting on my phone with the newest version on FullHDMI, and it informed me that a special kernel was required.

i have the original kernel that was posted when the program was in beta. while in beta i was able to output 720P just fine (little choppy as was well known at the time) but it was able to output.

Why can i not output 720P anymore? does the program require one of Netarchy kernels, or is there a different kernel i can use that supports the HDMI output on Sense? i would prefer to not use the beta kernel at the moment, though it is the only kernel he has that has the required drivers.

The reccomended kernel "the one I used for benchmarks and testing, is the 4.3.4-cfs-havs-more-nosbc (More Aggressive HAVS). You can find a link to Net's kernels in my sig.

I'm still having a problem setting a custom resolution since the last update...i have the latest busybox, any ideas why?

Thanks to lokifish I resolved the issue with setting a custom resolution. Just in case anyone else has a similar issue, I have a 42" panasonic 720p and the resolution that worked for me is 676x460, ...I can now use it for my demonstration at work on monday and make my bosses Iphones and blackberries look like old news  lol...

I am running a fresh install of CM7 RC2, with Savaged-Zen 0.1.0 kernel. Starting service takes two hits to get it going. Sense roms don't... Anyone else get this?

After you start the first time and get a blank screen, unplug the cable and plug it back in without hitting the button again.

I cant get it to happen again. It starts on the first click every time now, even tried clearing app data. My tv only works on the 720x480 and 640x480 with this kernel, 800x600 don't... I will have to flash a HDMI AOSP kernel to try the 1280x720.

*EDIT
It just happened when I let the Evo screen time out, hit restart service and nothing, unplugged and replugged and it came right up. Thanks

(off topic but related) I posted a request for source for CM6.1.2 WiMax Alpha3 with the intent of putting together a CM6.1.2/WiMax/HDMI release (seeing that CM6 dev has ceased). This is to provide proper pointer support with HDMI HW acceleration for everybody until CM7 is finished.

I clicked through your link and I read some of the responses which got me to thinking. Why are we wasting time with [old] cm6 versus trying to make [new/cooler] cm7 work "right" ? Does seem like a better use of time.

It mainly has to do with the usb transfer bug. Even with multi mount installed it's still far slower than 6 (by almost half) for file transfers.

That would never keep me on cm6! I can wait the extra 60 seconds to copy files....but I get that would drive some people nuts. So IMHO I still think forward porting the HID/kb would be the best bet for the general user.
