G3 user..Who gonna pre-order Iphone 6?

Interestingly enough, today, I was speaking with a co worker who was super excited to upgrade to the iPhone 6+ from his 5s. He looked at my phone and asked me how I got my icons to look like they do and how I had everything placed on my phone. I told him he cant do that on an iPhone and how his device looks (minus the wallpaper) is how its going to always look and hes going to look into getting a G3 tomorrow because he wants to be able to make his screen look different from everyone elses.

As I had stated earlier on here, I love Apple and their products, but because you cant do any kind of unique customization on it whatsoever, it quickly becomes boring to me once all the hype wears down and I end up going back to Android... This time around though, as much as I have already invested in this phone, I want to actually stick with it.

Its worth looking at I own the iPad and the macbook pro retina both are awesome devices I just worry about the camera quality on the 6.

I owned an iPhone 5s and as much as they praised that camera, I hated it. That camera was terrible and took some blurry and washed out photos (sometimes). And I know how to use the camera settings on cell phones. The os was of course buttery smooth and fast, but that camera killed it for me. I was better of using the camera on the M8.

The 6 looks awesome and thin, but I put pretty much every phone in a case.

And I used iOs before and just could never get navigation down.

No regrets. In fact, I may just go out and buy a 128 gb SD card for my phone to celebrate!

I have been Android from the start. I do own an Ipad for work, which is out of necessity. My g3, with Nova Prime and a 64 gig micro SD is an incredible phone/media device. The iPhone 6+ is just not for me. G3 ftw.

Why anyone would pay a premium for something that, beyond it looks, is not premium or up to date, is beyond me. I'd get a Windows phone before I'd get an iphone. At least windows has that new great Cortana or whatever her name is...

The specs of the iPhone 6 aren't even close to the G3. It all boils down to whether you want control of your device or let Apple/government do it for you.

Big Iphone come with the same size as G3 (5.5) but maybe taller and wider..I love my G3 a lot but Iphone 6 is very nice too..(I still keep my g3 just switch SIM card between phone)
Anyone hear thinking about pre-order Iphone 6?

Surely you jest. You sir, are not only in the wrong forum, you are on the wrong website completely. Maybe I'm wrong, but methinks you will not find a great deal of fandom here for Steve's iSheep applePharm.

And just taking this further - I read the iPod classic got eliminated by apple - and I have an older ipod with 80gb of space- and though I'll buy one because 160GB is a lot of space and it would be great to have one that big before you can't get them.

And then I realize I could buy 2 128GB SD cards for the same price!

And until Apple stops ripping people off by not including an option for expansion, I'll never consider their products except when necessary (e.g., work, iPad).

I didn't pre-order iphone 6 because I love my G3..and I think G3 has better spec than 6 and 6plus..

I think the sixes will be nicely built phones that do the basics well, but unless you can boot Kit Kat on them surely the deal has already been broken.

To the OP: If you want to switch the SIM cards between the two phones, you'll need a nano to micro SIM card holder as the iPhone uses a nano-SIM.

To answer the question, Yes, I just pre-ordered my iPhone 6 Plus. I haven't been completely satisfied with my G3 and I was able to sneak in a purchase for $99 bucks. I can sell it for 4 times that amount. It wasn't the phone I thought it would be. I've had signal strength issues from the start and just over all haven't been happy with it. I'll sell the G3 and keep my G2 for my home line.

I've had iPhones in the past and loved them because they just work. Android has issues still. And every time there's an update, i find new flaws. Can I root an iPhone and put my own ROM on it? No, but I stopped doing that years ago. I loved the iPhone 5, but the screen size got to me in the end. Had I known for sure that the iPhone 6 rumors would be true, I wouldn't have bought the G3, but for $99, I'll still make out on selling the G3.

Go ahead. Let the Scottysize iPhone bashing begin.

Specs have nothing to do with Apple products. They know how to make their OS run minimalistic. If you've never had an Apple product, you'd be shocked at how well they run and how stable they are with smaller processors and less RAM.

Yea the specs argument doesn't really work. My 4S still runs smoothly to me anyways for normal UI actions. Enjoy your new phone. Hope it's everything business as usual, optimized experience.

Specs have a lot to do with Apple products, especially the screen size (and density), physical device size and features.
