I've had a similar issue to some here. Pre-ordered the phone when it first opened, on the 20th (pre-orders started at Midnight the 21st Eastern time, so I was able to actually pre-order at 11:00pm on the 20th in Central time zone). My e-mail for my pre-order is dated 2-20 at 11:05pm. I went in and got my phone on March 8th, and submitted for the buds within an hour of getting home with the phone. Having done these before, I thought it was a little strange it didn't ask me for any documentation (receipt, pre-order proof, etc...), it just had phone information, which was already filled in, then spot for name and address and stuff. Clicked to submit, and it came back with an error, that I didn't submit my documentation, which was strange, considering there was nowhere for me to submit that. After it came back with that error, it gave me a link to submit proof that I pre-ordered; it said nothing about receipt or proof of purchase, just proof of pre-order. So, I screenshotted the entire e-mail I got when I pre-ordered, attached it, and submitted, and this time it went through fine.
The next day, I get something back saying I was rejected because my receipt was too blurry, which is funny considering I never submitted a receipt, since it never asked for it. So I clicked the link to resubmit, it specifically asked me for a receipt, which showed three things: date of purchase, name of item purchased and location it was purchased. That indicated to me it wanted the actual receipt this time, so I took a picture of the receipt and resubmitted. That was last Saturday (March 9th). I heard nothing back all week, and just about an hour ago, I got something back saying I was rejected because my purchase didn't occur within the pre-order period.
