this doesn't make any sense, for every phone launch I've ever paid attention to, Verizon ALWAYS launches on a Thursday. even way back when i got my dare, it was Thursday July 3, 2008. if anything this could be a preorder day, I remember incredible preorders starting just a few days before launch. that would be strange though because that would put launch day on thanksgiving.

either way i would rather have a later launch than sooner since i won't get mine until after christmas, so the more time they spend perfecting it and the less time i spend envying everyone who gets it on launch day, the happier i'll be

On the other hand I want many people to buy and post about the 3 phones releasing this month (or next) so I can make a better decision. I do wish, however, I had enough money to buy all three and put them through their paces myself.

Never posted on here but "web only" makes no sense for the week of Thanksgiving, shipping would be a nightmare. I say this is just like all of the other leaks, basically it shows Verizon can't figure out what to do with this phone. I want this phone but as long as it comes before the end of the month I will be a very happy tech nerd!

Well, Thanksgiving is the final Thurs of the month and they are closed that day. So obviously thwy had to work around that fact. Hence, the Razr on 11/11 & Rezound 11/14. Since Verizon had to follow thru on a sour arrangement to begin with. This is their solution, which is still a problem, as you can see.

What I love is yesterday I woke up to read a report that Verizon was doing everything in their power to lauch on 11/17 and they are on schedule to do just that. Today, I stop and read they are now only opening up to web sales on 11/21. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. Each new day is worst than the last.

The HTC Rezound already is confirmed to launch on the 14th.. which is next Monday..

Like people have already stated.. "the source" of the leak stated it was web only but he could of been confused.

Either way I'm hoping its web online as opposed to week of.. the sooner the better.

Driving a delorean and just came back from the future. Galaxy nexus 4 is available and is an 8 core phone. You should all wait until then. As for your release, I agree that the 17 makes more sense as web only shipping would be awful the week of thanksgiving. Just my two cents. :-$

why would it be awful? its not like verizons infrastructure cares about UPS or Fed Ex.. and plenty of retailers.. infact almost all retailers want big sales that week.. I hardly doubt they share the same concern.

Web only on that date, it will be in VZW stores after that I'm sure.

I'm wiling to be this wil be in the VZW store prior to a Costco release.

Can anyone tell me what verizon gains from these nexus shenanigans? This makes no sense. who is in charge of product launches? Can verizon bloatware really be worth the customer good will toilet swirl the are engineering right now?

Perhaps this makes the most sense: yes, Verizon generally releases on Thursday. However, given that this particular Thursday falls on Thanksgiving, they'll release it the "w/o" (week of) 21 Nov. They're probably looking over the calendar for shipping and other logistical arrangements, perhaps even with other sellers like Costco and Best Buy. They'll need to have store prepared before Black Friday hits. My guess is on Tuesday, 22 Nov. It seems to me they're struggling with the close release of other phones (and potential cannibalization/OEM negotiations) in concert with the holiday season, specifically Black Friday. My $.02.

Don't think he was thinking of it being a currier and more of USPS which VZW doesn't use as a shipping partner.
