Galaxy Note 20 Series, via OnLeaks.

Re: Galaxy Note 20+, via OnLeaks.

The article mentions the regular Note will have a plastic back. I didn't see that coming but it's not really a bad thing.

Re: Galaxy Note 20+, via OnLeaks.

So with the new laser autofocus, they are doing away with the TOF sensor, that's not a bad thing as it's only used for gimmicky things really, is the S20 series still having issues with the autofocus?

At least I have some lead time to get accustomed to it. Thank you for the heads up, Mike.

Honestly, since the Note 8 in my recollection, the Note battery has been about 500 mah smaller than the S-Series counterpart so we should all be use to it and I haven't seen any consistent posts/complaints on the Note 10 site for past year about battery so should be ok IMO.

Re: Galaxy Note 20+, via OnLeaks.

I think we'll be just fine when it comes to battery, Note 20 Ultra will be at least as good as the Note 10 plus if not better.
Between Note 8-9 & 10+ it has only gotten better so I'm not worried about that.

Agreed....it will be fine. We seem to go through this battery anxiety with most releases.

Re: Galaxy Note 20+, via OnLeaks.

For years people in the US had to listen to how much better the Exynos was over the Snapdragon in the Notes, and now it's the other way around so I am not bothered by the disparity in performance (which I bet isn't even noticeable in real life use). So, there! ;) I'm kidding... or am i? lol

Also, like folks are saying - every year people get worried about the battery and every year it turns out fine. IMHO the obsession with battery life is so over the top. It's always the number one topic after a Note is released - people asking and comparing battery life and screen times and how someone is getting 49 hours between charges, etc. when most people will rarely go that long without being able to charge the phone. It ends up being a contest of who can get the longest battery life and longest screen time and folks trying to replicate settings - but you cant replicate the most important part and that is how the phone is used in the first place. "Heavy" usage for one person is not going to be the same as "heavy" usage for another. People act like they are going on a 2-3 day getaway every other day where there will be no power outlets.

I'll say it again, I blame apps like AccuBattery that has contributed so much to the anxiety that people get with charging their phones when most people will have sold or traded their phone in by the time there is noticeable battery degradation. It makes me sad that people spend 24/7 worrying about battery life after they get their new phone, rather than enjoy the device they just spent so much money on.

Absolutely not a bad thing. I'd use a phone with a plastic back, hands-down. It'd probably be safer for me AND for the phone. 🤣

I'll use the S20 Ultra for the grunt-work and forward calls from my Note20 Ultra to the S20 in-the-field. Then, when I take out the Note20 Ultra it will be with a flourish and a certain sparing quality like Sir Alec Guinness with his lightsaber in the original Star Wars (1977). I slept on my concerns for those perceptions of the Note20 Ultra's battery and decided to get one over my mostly unfounded concerns. Then it's on to fretting over the S21 Ultra's battery and 1000X zoom.

Re: Galaxy Note 20+, via OnLeaks.

I keep hearing about the Ultra..
Is everybody going with the biggest note phone ?
A tablet.

Re: Galaxy Note 20+, via OnLeaks.

Looking at the specs... the Ultra is a couple or just over a couple of mm in height and pretty close to my Note 8 in width and thickness. So even though we have been in phablet territory for a while, it's not as bad as I thought it would be earlier in year and if near Note 8 and Note 10+ dimensions I can live with it. I'll just pop my sim in a spare iPhone 6S if I do races like I did the NY Marathon.

The smaller unfortunately is lacking features/specs. Too bad Samsung couldn't do it like Apple does with the two size Pros.

I'm in the bucket of only wanting the biggest and baddest... kinda hurt a little that I had to settle for the 256gb instead of 512gb when I got the Note 10 plus 5G :-)
