People have complained about the iPhone panels for years. As someone who has flipped back and forth I definitely prefer the Note panels. iPhone suffers from color shifting off axis and every year there is the yellow panel controversy. Yes the iPhone feels a bit snappier but it asks less if its OS. It's nothing more than app launcher with a screen that does no more than hold icons. You cannot even sort them.

I mean when they release their phones, they usually have the best Samsung panels at time of launch. They usually have the best cameras or near the top competing with Pixel every year. Their processors are at laptop class performance. Their batteries are usually praised for being near the best. IMO... their hardware build is almost second to none using materials like stainless steel frames.

I don't believe their batteries are better. It's their optimization that's makes better use of battery.

Never had a issue with Apple lcd panel or Oled

I found when you tilt the screen it gives you the pixel phone effect....color shifting. My Note doesn't do it at all. This happened with the past two iPhones I owned. I remember going to retail stores to see if it happened to their demos and it did. Pull up the Kindle app where your have a uniform background and tell me you don't see it at the peripheral area of the screen. It's either a color or brightness change but it's unmistakable. To my eyes anyway.

This is what I'm saying, they are better optimised. Apple have used less memory in their phones for a long time now but performance is still on par with the best android phones. The iPhone 11 max for instance has 4gb ram, if the Note 20 Ultra launched with 4gb ram we would be mortified, yet it works for Apple, which is down to their chipset and optimisation.

I didn't have any performance issues with 4 GB of RAM on Android with the Pixel 3XL. The fact that Android OEMs found the need to go higher was from a marketing perspective. There are advantages to having more RAM, but not for everyone.

I have multiple fast chargers, they all work fine. My Note 10+ phone seems to work fine on fast charging. Can't ever go back to slow charging.

Regardless of optimization, SOT is all that matters and even against the S20 Ultras, it hang in there with it.

But yeah mighty impressive the performance compared to others knowing the smaller size they use.

My comment was that their batteries aren't better, it's the optimisation that makes the battery last longer. That's what gives you the longer SOT so I'm confused how we can disregard optimisation

Between two different platforms I really can't see how you can compare optimization or even care about it. Between Androids I guess. But it comes down to SOT and if you want to compare optimization then... benchmark test or compare performance running same apps. But with Apple being a completely different platform, if they can do the same job or perform better with less memory and whatever... who cares because you can't compare it to what an Android needs to run the same way.

I wasn't comparing between two platforms. My statement was specifically in contrast to you stating Apple uses better batteries. I'm saying they do not, it's their optimization they begets the iPhone better battery life.

ok. When I said "Their batteries are usually praised for being near the best," I meant... they are usually praised for having the best battery life/SOT to the rest. I don't know if that clears that up but that's what I was trying to say.
